Love it!
I bought this based on the premise of quality and nutritional content compared to other brands. I've only tried one other, but I can say this this one does in fact deliver on its promises. It is very green and doesn't produce a bunch of dust nor have any twigs that I've noticed. I cold brew mine to use in my smoothies. The taste is smooth and delicious on its own too.I believe the caffeine content is also high, because I do feel some increase in my heart rate while using it. I can't share on energy, because nothing I seem to do helps me in that department. It's worth giving a try if clean caffeine is something that helps you out.

Yerba is the Leader of Caffeinated Plants
This ranks as the best yerba mate I have found on the market. It is air dried (no smoky taste, eliminates carcinogens) and with no stems (dilutes concentration of yerba compounds but does add characteristics that some people like). Others should not judge mates based on powder content; powder content thickens mouth feel, thickens the body and enhances chemical extraction for the brew. This is why I always powderize (like matcha) yerba mate, coffee, and cacao when brewing. It is my opinion that yerba mate is the most powerful, adaptogenic and mind enhancing caffeinated plant on Earth. Green tea, coffee and cacao are also amazing and rank as some of the most powerful plants on the planet. When you really look at each individual leaf particle up close, the premium grade can be seen. Each leaf is extremely lush in appearance and the chlorophyl is evident in the rich green color. It is not necessarily superior to some of the other yellow Argentinian type mates, which I also love dearly (as long as they are air dried and no stem), but it does offer a nice contrast for variation. The mouthfeel is very thick like most Brazilian mates are. There is a sweetness, complexity in flavor and relative mildness to the bitter for this one.I would highly recommend this product! It is a 10/10 for me. People need to be aware that most mate drinking people, use mate with an abundance of dust. I am sure many guards (bowls South Americans drink mate out of) out there could have anywhere from 500-1000 mg of caffeine with the amount that many use. That is alot of tablespoons. Not recommending that much. It is probably better to use the same tablespoons of yerba that you would for coffee. A teaspoon or two is not enough for the full effect and flavor. I am just happy to have this mate offered with no stems, as to maximize the caffeine in the brew. I enjoy the ritual of grinding it up myself.

Great, fresh, GREEN, CLEAN Yerba Mate
This was my first Yerba Mate and after trying others, I always come back to this exact tea and frequently recommend it to others. I drink it both hot and as iced tea and no longer want or need coffee and sodas. My favorite recipe using a 32 oz french press is as follows:32 oz water at 175 degrees1.5 tbsp organic gun pwder grn tea3 tbsp organic yerba mate2 tbsp organic goji berries2-3 tbsp of wildflower honey1 tbsp xylitol2 lemons, hand juicedAdd tea and berries to press. Add a couple ounces cold water to seal and swell the tea and mate for a minute ot two. Fill with 165 to 180 degree water. Allow to steep from 5 to 15 min.Press and poor into glass pitcher while hot. Add and stir in honey and xylitol. Stir well to dissolve all sweetners. Add and stir in lemon juice. Pour while hot and serve with ginger snaps. Put in fridge to cool and use for iced tea or to heat by the cup.To the gentleman who is worried about Yerba Mate causing cancer, you are misinformed. For people who drink large amounts of hot yerba mate all day, they have a highet incidence of head, throat, and possibly lung cancer according to anecdotal evidence. Drinking any 170 degree beverage all day will irritate the throat. If done 7 days a week for years, the throat and mouth never heals, resulting in increased incidences of cancer. During the study, other lifestyle choices such as smoking and drinking were not examined. There is zero evidence that drinking cold Yerba Mate does anything but increase alkalinity, provide essential amino acids and vitamins AND it absolutely loads the body with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory nutrients. It elevates mood, provides a mild stimulant effect without jitters or affecting sleep. It is also an excellent liver protectant. I now completely understand why so much of South America consumes this beverage hot and cold all day long. As a final note, it contains healthy qaunities of theobromine, the mood elevating mild stimulant that makes chocolate so addictive and acts as a natural mood elevator. So, man who asked why people drink something that causes cancer, go to Circle of Drink and watch the YouTube videos. I drink two cups hot and two large containers of heavily iced Yerba Mate every day with my naturopath doctor's blessing. This uninformed cancer scare had all of the markings of misinformation provided by competing industries. Again, there is zero proof of Yerba Mate causing cancer when drank hot on a limited basis or consumed cold.A big part of South America can't be wrong. The more you drink it, the more you read, the more you come to realize that switching toYerba Mate from a heavy or even mild coffee habit is one of the healthiest decisions you can make and you begin to feel better immediately. Also, this is my favorite brand and variety. Clean, green, fresh, no dust, and no stems. Enjoy!PS: stems, aged, fresh, smoked, non-smoked are not measures of quality, but simply preferences. For the healthiest experience, I prefer the fresh, non-smoked, non-aged, leaf only, low or no dust varieties such as this product specifically. I think these qaulities make for the most health-helpful and tasiest experience possible, but really it is just my preference.
