Colour Changing Stainless Steel Diamond LED Solar Lights Garden Stake Lanterns (6 Solar Lights)

Received these in December 2015 so these are my observations in the short time I've used the solar lights.The solar panel needs 6-8 hours of sunlight to fully charge the enclosed battery on each light. That's almost impossible in our winters so don't expect bright lights or a long period of effective light.The design is very good as the light and solar panel are in one unit and can be easily taken off their stake and placed in an optimum sunny position to get as much charge as possible---that's what I do as the selected area of placement does get shade from trees as the sun arcs. Giving them a wipe to remove condensation helps the process.BEWARE! Leaving the metal stakes in the ground without their heads on can be dangerous if a person is unaware of their position--- the ends are sharp and can cut your skin, as my wife did when gardening. Sorry Sybil!In the summer I'm hoping that wont be necessary with a stronger sun and more daylight hours.The instructions say the lights will remain on for 7 hours---in winter mine come on at 6 or 7 P.M. and go off by midnight, so they don't operate throughout all the night hours.Looks promising so far.EDIT April 2016.Longer daylight hours recently to fully charge the batteries and these lights stay on throughout the night hours---exceptionally effective, or I'm just lucky with the 2 boxes that I purchased from Amazon.I've updated my review from 4 to 5 stars.

I ordered the Colour Changing Stainless Steel Diamond LED Solar Lights Garden Stake Lanterns (6 Solar Lights) for my garden and they arrived promptly. On opening the box, these look smaller than expected but look lovely when put together and batteries installed. The only issue is with the plastic strength as I managed to break one when inserting it into the ground - fixed with a bit of sellotape but be warned not to put any pressure on the light section and use the metal stake when pushing them into the earth - hence 4 stars instead of 5.The lights all worked out of the box after the batteries were inserted (twist the top to access the battery compartment), they have been scattered outside in the garden since received in early June and despite the rain and overcast weather have worked perfectly from dusk until dawn the next day. The colours change slowly fading from one to another and look lovely in the garden - will see how well they continue to work during the next few months but so far, very happy!

These came today,2 of the lights work brilliantly but other 4 aren't working at all. Will see what the like after tomorrow as supposed to be sunny day. Keep you posted. Well changed my star rating! Now we are having longer sunnier days all lights are working brilliant. They come on about 7:45pm and they still bright now at 23:32pm. I'm happy.

Awful quality and design. Very difficult to get the base of the ‘diamond’ off to access the on/off switch. One completely snapped rendering it useless. A 2nd snapped pushing it into soft soil - If you must buy these, push the metal stake into ground first then put the ‘diamond’ onto the stake. So now only have 4 out of 6.

Really love these lights. They come on just as it's almost dark and each light goes slowly through a rainbow of colours. I've put mine into small ceramic plant pots filled with glass pebbles, placed amongst the flower beds in the garden they make my garden full of colour at night. The prism shape of the lanterns creates beams of light across the ground and plants, very nice effect.

this has renewed my thoughts that solar lighting does not workdifficult to open my worst purchase everwhen you do manage it and push the on button not easy to put back tighter if you manage it the light does not come onI DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCTSORRY AMAZON LUCKY TO GET A ONE STAR GIVEN BECAUSE DELIVERY WAS ON TIME

Lovely diamond shaped lights. They are unusual and love the colours.
