Well, you get what you pay for. This will not work without the SD card. Once I bought a 32G card then it worked good for a month or so. Now it doesn't work at all. The only good thing about it is great customer service.**Update, they are sending me a new unit. I moved them from 2 to 3 stars because of this. If the new unit works well I will take it to 4 or possibly even 5 stars.***Update. Got the second dash cam and it’s doing the exact same thing.

Very poor product quality. Most memory cards will cause the device to restart continuously to an infinite amount of times.Card slot is so large, that i just dropped a 64gb memory card imto the device body and cannot get it out (but it didn’t work anyway).Poor display quality, very poor speaker quality, and very poor software design!AVOID IT!!!

The camera system records both forward and rear cameras when hooked up. I use a 32 GB card with mine and the approximate recording time is about 2.5 hours (which can be looped/overwritten). I did not hook up the reverse "red" wire on the rear camera. That wire is only for powering the LEDs on the rear camera and also triggering the main unit to switch to rear camera full screen. It is not necessary for normal operation. While the manual is not the best Chinese translation, it is understandable - yet does not explain some parts.3 video options: 480, 720, or 1080. There is a microphone on the main unit which can be disabled if desired.Quite simply, the camera activates when it is given 12 volt power (cig. lighter plug) and immediately begins recording as soon as it finishes booting up. The camera has an internal battery, but I have not tested it to see how long it lasts on its own, but is plenty solid enough to remain on for at least one hour or more.I had an issue with the first one I received - the rear camera would not display or record. After emailing iFox, we determined there was an issue with either the main unit or the rear camera itself. The problem wound up being the main unit. The replacement came quickly and easily.

The camera itself is very well built but the software is kinda junky. The second camera quit working about a month in and if you leave it plugged into the unit, it will not record properly. Also the SD card size limit is a real bummer especially if you have parking guard on as it locks every file it records in this mode. I find myself constantly having to format my card. If they could fix the software, increase the SD card size limit and send a more durable secondary camera it would be a great unit.

Very low quality as price eludes. Mine lasted less than a year. Unit turns off when Powered on. Camera won’t stay on. Complete waste of money!

Camera worked fine for about 6 months - no complaints. Then it would show the start-up screen and turn off. If I kept power going to the camera, it would cycle through the start up, turn off cycle endlessly.Read the reviews saying to clean the contacts on the memory card - same results.The seller states that there is a 100% money back guarantee - contacting Amazon to see if they can make good on this

The instruction manual is a bit lacking, but the camera does what it says it does. I hope I have it on the right setting to record ... it's hard to tell.
