Not bad used in the right way
This mini recording camera is ideal for undercover filming, something i am a bit on the fence about. On one hand devices like this are becoming part of the normal world to cover yourself with evidence should you need it, on the other hand I don’t feel great about filming others covertly. Having footage of any situation is the only way to truly evidence goings on. Could also be used for action shooting, university lectures, interviews, etc. as examples. This device is quite small measuring less than 10cm long and somewhat noticeable, with some care it could be hidden in plain sight, the camera lens is rotatable so could be positioned in various ways to capture footage and images including clipped to a pocket so could be worn like a bodycam. It is rechargeable via USBC, a cable is provided and a full recharge takes a few hours. Long run time for the size working up to around for 4-5 hours continuously, this is also dependent on the memory card capacity although a 64bg micro sd card is supplied this device can support up to 256gb.Three modes - video, photo image and voice recording, these are set by a simple slide switch and overall the operation js very easy. The footage is reasonable, not the best quality, there is a night vision mode which works but isn’t brilliant.Used in the right way this is not a bad product and could come in handy. If it’s the sort of thing you’re after it’s not bad value either at £34.99 (at time of review) since it comes with a decent sized memory card and is rechargeable too. A good product overall that works quite well for what it is.

Good cheap option
Far better than the cheaper versions with no indication of what the device is doing other than a single LED and various flash/colour combinations that you have to memorise. Here, you get definite iconsNot quite as good as the ones with a little LED screen that shows what is being recorded, but those cost a little more (and have lower battery life on account of the screen (you can't have everything!).Works well, sturdy enough for the price; there are far more expensive ones out there that are basically the same thing with a slightly more durable plastic shell! Battery life is as usual a little overstated whenever you see the words 'up to', but you get well over an hour, which is enough. The night vision is okay but the range goes down considerably - its not usable to identify faces unless they are less than a couple of metres away (the same is true of security CCTV generally; better to rely on building lights or street lighting IMO as you have more chance of capturing evidence such as garment colour etc). The only downside to note is that your mobile phone will always take better footage than any body worn video, so if you don't absolutely need body worn (or don't need something a little more covert), use your phone instead.Primary use case is probably to wear one of these to capture potential anti-social behaviour (video is the best evidence and the quickest way to get someone up for a section 4 public order offence), otherwise the police can do nothing because everyone denies everything. Word of advice; never tell the person you are recording or that you have 'got them on video - straight to the police station with the footage on a USB stick is the way to go.The video quality is okay for security, but again, I'd say your phone is better for social media.Overall, if this camera falls into your expected use case, it is good given the price.

Cheap solution but poor clip and battery life
I lost this after a month, despite the camera being clipped on the INside of my pocket. The clip is a poor design and unless you are using a belt or a strap it's likely to come off.We found the quality acceptable for the price, especially the night vision. But we would charge it up one day and try and use it the next and it would be dead. So it seems to loose its charge even if it's not recording.I won't be replacing the one I lost and I wouldn't recommend it.
