It looks nice but there are lots of finishing touches that could have been better, lots of splinters and rough edges that could have been finished better. The wood can be seen through the green paint on the lid so ideally needs two coats. It’s nice, but definitely has potential for a better finish which I think was also noted by another customer. The delivery was bad but that’s a dpd issue not the seller. I definitely won’t pay for faster delivery if dpd are involved again on any future purchase. It’s a nice item but has potential to be amazing if it’s finished with care. It seems a bit ‘rush job’ for the money.

Bought this barn because I had bought some Ladybird larvae (from the same seller) to get rid of my constant aphid invasions and now the little guys are ready to become adults so I want to provide a home for them to keep safe over the winter also hoping to keep them a while. This barn looks really nice and has room to accommodate some nesting materials inside so it looks really sweet and cosy as well. Nice design, well made it's really worth having in any garden. I highly recommend!

Lovely product, lovely idea, but a bit disappointing as the lovely green paint on the roof lid has started to peel off already. Maybe should of been coated with a clear lacquer. Sylvia

This is a good looking bug house which I bought at the same time as the Tom Chambers bee house. The bees certainly prefer the Tom Chambers one but there has been some take up in this. It also offers a habitat for more varieties of insect so I think the two compliment each other. I am hopeful this will eventually prove as popular. Both are placed against a south facing fence about 3 feet off the ground as suggested.

The bugs love our little bug house & kids love lifting the roof to see who is living there!
