Almost perfect kettle
Great build quality, no peeling or flaking after heavy usage, however a very slight, minor, non-functional leak has developed when kettle is cold only. Handle is a bit awkward for the height of my pour over but the convenience of a thermometer hole is great.

Loved it at first but it didn't last
It looks nice and workd well at first. For the price I expected it to last longer. It has been less than 2 years since the purchase and the bottom is now leaking. It is not usable anymore.

Some unexpected details
Made in China (description says Japan). Lid handle is rubbery porous white plastic. Fill capacity for boiling is only 1 liter. Bright white color made my off white kitchen items look dingy. It might work fine, but I decided against it once I saw the kettle and details person.

No whistle!!!
I thought this kettle would whistle (I’m hearing impaired and my dog will alert me to a whistle). I forgot the pot on the second use, and since there is no whistle, it burned!! I was so disappointed and am now looking for a good gooseneck kettle…..with a whistle!
