Good design, ideal for a small garden
Product well thought out. Assembly slightly difficult but persevere as it clicks together to form a solid unit. Big plus for me was that it was made in Italy and presumably benefited from Italian design.

Flimsy
Only needed one person to put together but the joints are particularly secure. Seems flimsy to me. I worry when it's full that it'll break apart but it may prove me wrong.

Does nit last outdoors
I bought two of these, less than 2 years ago. The hinges on both have basically fallen apart.I had to screw wood panels inside as the panels were not rigid enough. Also had to screw the panels together as they kept coming apart. More than disappointing.

Good, sturdy composter
Easy to assemble. I bought this one to replace a round version. I think this one is better- I like the flap on the top.

Not fit for purpose
Good idea and looks good in the garden. However, that's the end of the plus points. Very flimsy, lid broke first week. Delicate construction but just think the plastic around the hinge was not made to be outside, was brittle and snapped.Made my own lid with hardboard and cracked on. Bin is now quarter full, access doors are bulging, front one has popped out twice already. Cant see this taking a full load and I'm terrified I'm going to demolish it everytime I try to turn it.Back to the drawing board.

Bad designed
Quick delivery. Ordered Bank Holiday, Monday, May 19th. Delivered Weds by DPD. Packed in shrink-wrapped, heavy duty see-thru plastic. Those are the good points.Colored (coloured) picture of composter is shown on lawn. Who in their right-mind would put the unit on a nicely, laid lawn with compost falling onto the well-manicured, pristine, lawn??? As the unit is made in Italy, maybe the Italians might do that. Nobody in UK would. So much for 'marketing' pictures.I assembled the unit in my front room (PS-Don't tell my Wife that I did that on our newly-laid carpet!) as it was flat & easier than assembly in the garden. The sides snap together, but I found by standing upright 3 'sides' - 2 sides & front (or back) on floor, then taking rubber mallet to tapping locking pieces together. . . .first top, middle bottom. repeat other side - it was easier & fitted better than smacking my hand against edges.A number of points.: The lid fits together (I use the term VERY loosely) at an angle. If the 'moulded-half-hinges' would snap together it would be a good design. As it is, the 2 Halves come aprt at any time: lifting lid & put peelings in; wind blows a bit; bin rocks. A total waste of time attemping to 'fit' the hinges as the 2 half lids keep coming apart. . .Gr r r r!Another point. When checking parts, I noted there are 2 sides (with air holes) and 2 moldings with a type of semi-circle in theme. The simi-circle moldings are to be be front & back. I found these have 'runners' to hold the doors. Totally useless! The runners are TOO short and should be lengthened at LEAST by 3 - 4 inches. This would keep the 'doors' from bulging out and popping off - which they do - when putting peelings, 'brown' or other stuff to be composted into unit. If the manufactuers put 3 sides with air holes and 1 'front' this would be an improvement. Keep 1 door only and put the other 'door' to making the unit less flimsy. From my experience in recent months looking for a compost unit on Amazon, I believe they are a pretty 'much-fo-a-muchness' 'tho a lot more expensive than this.Today is June 10th, '14, in the afternoon and writing this critique / review. I've had time to think 'bout my fellings. I can assure you, the above still stands!!!! Now, if I could just be able to snap the 2 half lids together. . . . . .

Funzionale
