I simply couldn't put my kindle down, it was such an amazing story, they may be dolphins, but to overcome what they had to overcome was amazing and to find the strength in each other, that is superb, why can't some humans take their example. Yes Hope was afraid at the beginning, but she learned to accept Winter, prosthetic tail and all.....I had tears rolling down my face while I was reading the book, yes, the book is short, but it is worth the read, when you feel down and can't seem to pick yourself up, I really would recommend you read this book, it is truly inspiring...

Amazing book

Terrific book about the love & friendship between Winter & Hope, the two famous adorable rescue dolphins from the movie Dolphin Tales 2. My 7 year old daughter loves this book!

My granddaughters (ages 8 and 6) LOVE the incredible and heart-warming story of Winter (the dolphin without a tail!) in the DVDs "Dolphin Tale" and "Dolphin Tale 2", so this book was the perfect addition to their cherished Winter collection. It details the true tale (or 'tail'!) of the dolphin who couldn't swim... due to the recklessness of man. If you know someone who loves Winter as my granddaughters do, this book is a must-have!

I bought this book for my 9yr. old grandson for his birthday he just loved the story.The pictures are beautiful and the book is made well. I think all kids should have the opportunity to read this book.

"Hope for Winter" erzählt die wahre Geschichte des verwaisten Delfinbabys "Hope", das in Florida gefunden und vor dem Tod gerettet wurde.Nachdem sich das kleine Delfinmädchen erholt hatte, schloss sie Bekanntschaft mit "Winter", einem ebenfalls verwaisten Delfin, der dadurch bekannt wurde, dass er der erste Delfin mit einer künstlichen Schwanzflosse ist.Die beiden schlossen schnell Freundschaft und sind nun nicht mehr alleine.Das Format dieses Hefts ("Buch" wäre übertrieben, denn es umfasst gerade mal 40 Seiten und ist mit einer Klebebindung gebunden) ist mit21x24 cm etwas ungewöhnlich, dadurch kommen aber die schönen Aufnahmen der Delfine gut heraus.Auch wer wie ich nur in der Schule Englisch gelernt hat und bei dem dies auch schon viele Jahre zurück liegt, kann dem Text ohne Mühe folgen, denn der Text ist so geschrieben, dass er für (englischsprachige) Kinder z.B. als Vorlesebuch geeignet ist und ich musste nur zwei oder drei Wörter nachschlagen (Tip: "eventually" heißt nicht "eventuell", sondern "schließlich").Das Büchlein ist liebevoll ud herzerwärmend geschrieben. Für den Preis hätten es aber gerne einige Seiten mehr sein dürfen...

Attention ce livre est en anglais.Ce petit livre nous raconte l'arrivé de Hope, avec de nombreuses photos à l'appui, de son adaptation à Clearwater et de son amitié avec Winter. Un indispensable si comme moi vous êtes fan des 2 films de Winter le dauphin et que vous voulez connaitre la véritable histoire de Hope (le film est très romancé concernant Hope qui en faite s'est entendu tout de suite avec Winter). A lovely story. My kids are big fans on the movies and so it was nice to find out more behind the story. Although they were confused about the differences as they think that the movie is real. But a lovely story, great for fans of the movies or those just interested in dolphins.
