A really sleek little recorder.
I really like this voice recorder, and so long as you can live with a minor design flaw, it's a lot of voice recorder for the money.Everything I like about it: I love the sleek, black, "2001 A Space Odyssey" monolith design. Aesthetically, I prefer it to my Sony voice recorder. By a mile. I really like the look of it. I like how it's easy to navigate, and all the controls are easy to manipulate and intuitive. The menus aren't complicated to navigate, not that there's much to a voice recorder's menu anyway. I like that it has a physical power button, rather than the press/hold style of many designs. I love the color display, and the compactness of the case. The sound from the built in speakers isn't superb, but very few voice recorders have decent speakers, being so small. Sound from headphones (or listened to as an audio file on the computer) is a marked improvement in sound quality. This, also, is pretty standard for voice recorders. And it's USB C. And it's rechargeable.That's...a lot to like in a voice recorder. And in all aspects, save for one, I'm 5 stars all in on this one. Its one caveat, which to me is a red X mark for a voice recorder, is the start-up lag from the time you flick the power switch to "on" to the time you can record. With my Sony, it's nearly instant. With this, you get about 6-7 seconds between the time you hit the power button and the time you can actually begin recording. It has to display a "Welcome" screen and all that jazz. When I have just dreamed up an idea that could save the universe, I don't have 6-7 seconds between the time I have this idea and the time it vanishes from my noggin, lost to the eternal abyss of forgotten world-changing ideas. It could also mean the precious seconds if you're trying to record a sudden chance encounter with someone. What I'm saying is, I prefer as close to a 0 second start up time as I can possibly get in a voice recorder. And comparatively speaking, this one is slogging through the proverbial mud.For a good many people who might be considering this, those 6 or 7 seconds mean nothing. If you don't mind a few seconds between "power on" and "able to record", this is a fantastic voice recorder. In literally every other category BESIDES start-up time? I prefer this sleek little unit to my Sony, any day of the week. The design looks cooler, the display is better, even the way it charges is better. If a start up time of 6 or 7 seconds means nothing to you, then by all means. Buy this, you'll love it.If you're one of those few folks who has to get that idea out of their head NOW NOW NOW or it's gone, lol, then the start up time on this voice recorder will seem like the blazing speed of a glacier. 6 or 7 seconds isn't that much, realistically, but if ideas come and go in your noggin like fireflies momentarily flashing in the summer sky at night, those 6 or 7 seconds will seem like enough time to finally write down...in dip fountain pen...your memoirs. At the end of the day, it's a great little voice recorder in every way except startup time. If they cut that time at least in half for Gen 2, this will be perfect. Nicely built little voice recorder, guys. Now just speed it up a little.

So easy to navigate
I use this all the time. 3 times in the last 24 hours alone. It is so helpful. I have another one I got previously that I also used a lot. However there were so many times when it messed up and I missed getting an important thing recorded. The reason was that it has no display, so unless you're really paying attention when you turn it on you can miss the blinking lights. I did that several times thinking it was on.This one has a logical setup that makes sense. In fact I began using it without even reading the instructions because it was set up so nicely. The display is great. It reads easily and shows me what I need to know so quickly. It also starts up pretty quickly so I can hurry and capture whatever it is I'm after. So far the battery has been great and lasts a good long time. Then you can attach the included cord to it and to your computer and easily download the recorded files. This just blew away my old one.I think the recording quality is fabulous; just like the original sound. It's again a big improvement over my other recorder. It could easily be used as an mp3 player. I haven't researched how you would find your songs once you load them on.I'm really getting a lot of use out of this.

A cool little item
The digital recorder is pretty cool and works great. It is pretty easy to figure out how to use it straight out of the box, The front of the recorder has buttons for play, stop, record, fast forward and reverse where you can easily find them. The on/off switch is conveniently located on the left of the device, along with a charging port. There are 3 buttons on the right side. Two are marked volume up and down and the other is a menu button which allows you to access the menu for 7 different option for your recording settings. It's a small device measuring about 3 1/2" long and 1" wide , so it fits conveniently in your pocket. It's a little expensive for what it does but it's a hand little item. That is the reason for the 4 stars. I just feel that it is too expensive at $50.00.

Finally a real recorder
I have tried several voice recorders recently and every one of them had problems that made them unusable like poor audio quality, terrible menus or just outright crashing or lockups. This nice little recorder works great in just about every way. It is easy to use, has great audio quality, has a bunch of storage and is rechargeable using USB-C. It is a little on the high end pricewise but really isn't outrageous.

Works great
It's really a great recorder. It packs a lot of features in a small form factor. It's perfectly suitable for all dictation/note taking needs, and has absolutely incredible battery life.I minus one star only because there is a somewhat long pause when you press record, so make sure you're not in a situation where you're rushing to start recording because you will miss several seconds.Overall, it's a great device.

Durable and has some weight. Good recording quality
I've gotten a few small personal recorders recently and while most feel very lightweight and flimsy/cheap, this one has a bit of weight under it and feels MUCH more solid. Metal casing and either weighted or just heavy components it actually feels like something nice to hold.Recording quality is very good, microphone pickup is very good and the display is easy to read, buttons easy to press.Overall No real complaints. Battery holds up well and is easily recharged, no replacements needed.Recommended easily!

Great Digital Recorder
Super accurate digital voice recorder. (This recorder is absolutely fantastic for ghost hunting. (For those of you that believe). It has an enormous amount of storage space built into the recorder. So you can record A LOT! This thing will do just about ANYTHING you may want to do & just about anything you could think of. The possibilities are endless.I would highly recommend this recorder if you are in the market for one!Look no further, because this is the ONE!
