Legond
I think I have a new favourite Jedi in the High Republic era. Porter Engle has been mentioned as a legond in a couple of High Republic books. Here I see why. I have been very critical of the Jedi in the Disney era compared to the Legonds/Extended Universe. The Disney just did not seem as powerful Engle starters that. He is a literal one man army.Porter Engle and his sister have a great arrangement she points him at the people who need to be saved and whose butt's to kick. However, their latest mission it is hard to find the truth. The book also show the past of their time as Padawans in the Jedi Temple.Cool, charismatic, and lethal. The blade is the perfect name for him. I am glad another series is coming, but I want more. The book finishes with a varient cover gallery and a sketchbook of the characters and scenes.

Enjoyable
Enjoyable story. A Star Wars fan, but don't follow much High Republic era in terms of reading etc. But this can be read without prior knowledge of High Republic stories.

It Was Okay
382 BBYThis graphic novel is part of the second phase in the High Republic era books. It contains "The Blade" Parts 1-4 with indication of further adventures from these characters in later installments to Phase II. This story follows Porter Engle and his sister Barash Silvain, two Jedi who have been inseparable ever since their first lightsaber training. Finding a mission on a backwater planet is what makes this duo find pleasure in their Jedi work. Answering a desperate call for aid, Porter and Barash find themselves in a war of mixed priorities and misunderstandings. A war with political seeds and lies. Porter is excellent at stopping anything in his path, so Barash is confident that he can stop the fighting without a problem. Well, maybe not fully unscathed. This one was okay. It took me a while to get into, but I enjoyed where it went overall. The politics involve a prince and princess from oppossing governing factions, and their frowned-upon relationship. The art is neat. I think Porter's appearance gives Hellboy vibes and his character feels very much like a samurai. The art is great and the characters certainly have potential.
