Lakeland Metallic Effect Slim Fit 40 litre Bin, Durable & Easy Clean, 25 x 42 x 61cm

We have moved to a new location where the local authority are keen on recycling. We bought three of these bins in order for us to recycle inside the home rather than sorting our rubbish outside. They are smart and look good in our kitchen and are a good size for our purpose. The price is very good for this quality of product. We're very pleased with our choice and would definitely recommend this item.

This is a good sized bin and when it opens it doesn't scrape my newly painted wall behind it. Big enough for a week's worth of rubbish and the handy band on the inside stops the bag from falling to the bottom of the bin. It also looks very nice and the colour matches the fridge

Bought in June, broken by January. The plastic hinge holding the lid to the bin is fairly frail looking and snapped. Nice bin up until then but overpriced.

Was initially really pleased with this bin. Looks good. Compact and easy to clean. However, the lid broke within 2 months of purchase. Lake land refunded my money quickly and asked me to return the broken bin.

Oblong in shape and fits perfectly in a small space behind an open door in the kitchen without interfering with door opening - looks nice too.

Fitted the gap perfectly, but the plastic at the bottom was already broken when it arrived.

No problem with this bin. It looks good & does the job. Fits neatly under my new work surface. You can easily control height of lidwhen open by pressure you put on pedal when opening.

So much of what we throw away is square or oblong-shaped cartons or containers, and I was tired of forcing rubbish into a round-shaped pedal bin, which seemed to need emptying every few hours This fits into my kitchen corner neatly and takes far more rubbish. Looks stylish too..
