These blocks are a fun way of keeping track of the days or weeks until summer. The middle block is reversible...one side says "days until" and the other side says "weeks until". This way, you can start counting down as soon as fall comes. This block set is a great holiday gift for teachers as well and fun for a classroom. The blocks are hand cut, sanded, painted, decorated, and then sealed. The colors used for this design are red, brown, and sand. Raffia is also used. Although his piece is sprayed with a sealant, extended outdoor use for this item is not recommended. Each set is signed and dated on the bottom. Bottom block is 9 x 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches, the middle block is 7 x 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches, and the two number blocks are 2x2x2 inches. Total measurement is 9 x 5 x 2 inches. The blocks are not attached to each other in order to give more flexibility with design. This is an interactive piece as well...kids love turning the blocks from day to day. And what child isn't counting down the days until summer? ***PLEASE READ...NUMBER COMBINATIONS*** Every countdown piece comes with two {2} number blocks. Although it is not possible to make every number combination from 1-99 with 2 blocks, by making the middle block reversible from days to weeks, it did increase the possible combinations. Some number combinations after 43 weeks however, are still not possible. To solve this problem completely, I am now offering a third block for any occasion taking place MORE than 43 weeks away {prices for the standard two {2} block sets have not changed}. For example, if the countdown is for a wedding that's happening in a year, the addition of a third block might be helpful. If the countdown is for a new baby or any countdown LESS THAN 44 weeks away, the third block is not necessary. When ordering this item, please select the amount of blocks needed. This is not a toy.
