Very impressed when I opened this as very good quality for the money spent. The hoover head has lights on it which the Dyson head didn’t, also came with extras being a clip to hold the on/off trigger On, and a cleaning tool for the brushes which Dyson have never supplied either with new parts, and all at a third of the Dyson price too!

I have been disappointed with this unit. It is generally nicely made but has one serious fault. It does not have a robust plastic swivel joint (like the Dyson original item), instead it has a very thin corrugated (unreinforced) plastic tube. This tube has split into two parts. The unit still works but I am sure that the gap in this tube must reduce its efficiency. I have replaced this item with another similar unit (approx. same price) on Amazon site - this unit has a nice swivel joint but has thin plastic disk wheels without bearings - this makes pushing it over carpets not a smooth experience. I am sorry for my negativity. It is very unusual for me to give a poor review on Amazon Site. Amazon has improved my life so much. What does surprize me is that it just as easy to manufacture a good article as to made a bad article - the amount of effort is exactly the same. I now have to purchase this item from Dyson and take the risk of going onto a scam site. I have always trusted the Amazon.

This is a great replacement for our Dyson. Love that it lights up as well, makes cleaning easier.

When I received this I was actually very happy with it. It seemed even better than the original on hard wood floors, not as great on carpet but I was quite pleased. With time I have found hairs get caught in the tube and clog it which didn’t happen with my original dyson head. I guess for the price it’s ok and the light is a nice touch too.

I think I prefer this head to both Dyson hard floor and carpet heads. The Dyson hard floor head is no good for carpets, whereas this head is good. The Dyson normal carpet head is no good for hard floors as it flings larger particles around, whereas this head is good at that too. The LEDs are not necessary but a nice addition for vacuuming in a darker room. Overall very impressed to be honest.

Really pleased with this product.. works really well with my Dyson V8.. fits well and is a much cheaper substitute ..
