Jonathan Green (10514) Black Beauty Heat & Drought Resistant Grass Seed - Cool Season Lawn Seed (3 lb)

Not sure why people didn't have much luck with, it worked great for me. I prepped the dirt, laid the seeds, covered with a roll of straw and watered daily. They were sprouting grass within 4 days. It worked so good I bought it again for an area that used to be a garden and it is already thick and I laid it down a week ago. I have used three other types of seeds and had terrible luck. It was recommended by a landscaping business so i gave it a try. I wish I did a before and after to show but, it works great as long as you cover it and water it daily.

I used this to fill in a large bare patch in my backyard in central Texas. have pretty dense clay soil and partial sunlight in this area of the yard. It grew in well and is still green. Not sure how it will fare over the hottest parts of summer but so far so good!

I was excited to find this grass seed as I have one tough section of lawn that is very hot and dry all summer and needed a grass that would thrive in those conditions.I overseeded in early May and the seed began to germinate in 10 days. I watered every day and after the grass was up, fertilized to give it a boost.Unfortunately, the grass just will not grow! It reached a 2 to 2-1/2" height and stopped there. I will continue to water and hope for the best but feel very disappointed with the results so far.

Seeds matured to grass plants very well with minimal ( other than rain) watering.

This is the worse product I ever purchased. I spread the seeds and waited a couple of weeks. No new growth. Then I threw the seeds over the worst spots. Still no new growth. Not only will I not purchase this product again, I don't recommend you to purchase it either! Absolute trash!
