Take a second look, They do work!
After reading a previous review, I too thought my struts were stuck and would not compress. I initiated a return, but before I dropped them off, I took one of my wood clamps and tested the compression. It actually compressed, but was extremely stiff. Which is a good thing.To install, remove both of the old ones from your trunk, and install 1 ball joint side on each of the new struts(both top or both bottom). Then push your trunk as far open as you need to in order to line the other ball joint up and pop it in.I'm glad I gave these a second look!

No Delivery
The item works fine but I had to go pick it up from the Post Office. I've complained to Amazon on multiple occasions that the Post Office always holds my packages rather than deliver yet Amazon refuses to use UPS or Amazon delivery.
