Aleric Bond, as in his previous novels, goes straight into thrilling reading. A trusted and talented author he immediately creates a story that completely captures the reader and brings about a need to 'pace oneself' in order to attempt some preservation of the tale that otherwise will bring about its completion in much haste because of the temptation to read on and on until the finish! Nothing short of brilliant, in my view, but with a thirst for more, and quickly!Thank you Aleric but come back as soon as the batteries are recharged - we await your next story!Fred

Well researched and very engrossing read

Not quite as good as the previous books in the series, but still an excellent read. This book gets a little bogged down in a few places, although does recover well towards the end and is still very much worth the read.

I am an unashamedly enthusiastic follower of Mr Bond. I enjoy his writing and his knowledge of naval matters, on various levels. This is another goodie and highly recommended.
