A great alternative to a traditional deckchair!
Was looking for an alternative to my deckchair as I spend a lot of time working at my desk and my back starting to get sore and stiff. I am glad I found this kneeling chair as not only is it well made and very comfortable but my back already feels better a week of use. It allows me to naturally sit in a more ergonomic position which has helped with my overall sitting posture. It was relatively easy to assemble and the only thing I needed to get was a 2 inch desk lift to make my desk a bit taller as the Vilno kneeling chair sits a bit higher then my normal chair.I recommend this chair regardless if you have back issue or not at it is very comfortable making sitting at a desk for a long time very easy!

Very sturdy posture chair
I've wanted this chair ever since I first saw it in the late 1970's-80's. Make sure that you get the "Vilno" chair because the other ones do not have the best cushioning. I bought in in black and I no longer have a lower back ache when I work at my computer at home. I'm 70, so even an older person can sit on this chair comfortably. I like that it rocks too. The directions are not the best because nothing is labeled. That's why I gave it a lower rating.

Sciatica relief!!
I have sciatica in my leg and struggled sitting all day for work. This chair offered a lot of relief. I really like it. With my sciatica, I get flare ups pretty much anytime I’m sitting at a 90 degree angle for an extended period of time, so I love this chair because it adds a little more space. Even with it, I can’t sit for a long time without getting uncomfortable. I love that it rocks because I can move my back while I’m sitting, so it doesn’t get stiff. It does leave scuff marks on vinyl wood flooring, just as a note. The main complaint I would have about using it is that since there is no backrest, it’s really easy to hunch because it takes a little more effort to sit properly. In theory, that’s supposed to help strengthen your core and force you to fix your posture, but I don’t find that to be the case. I have a back support brace that I wear sometimes, and if I’m wearing that while using the chair, it’s a perfect combo.

Love it
Good quality, worth the price, quick delivery. Relieves back pain from sitting in regular desk chair—if you put weight on shins. Can make back pain worse if used improperly (problem when I turn to chat with someone at office door for extended periods)

I’m a fan of the black color.
The wood has a lovely finish, and the fabric feels wonderfully soft. The assembly was straightforward, though I did need a rubber mallet to secure the wooden pegs. This chair is fantastic for meditation—easy to sit in, very comfortable for extended sessions, and allows for subtle adjustments without breaking concentration. I highly recommend this chair to anyone seeking a comfortable and supportive meditation seat.

Well done but not for me.
This chair was a minor PIA to put together but once done, was very stable. I liked sitting on it for 20 minutes or so at a time but found that eventually my knees would start to feel it more than I'd like. I also found the seat height to be about 2" higher than what a typical chair height would be for a standard desk. I initially thought about going back/forth with this chair and a standard office chair to mix it up a little but the height thing screwed up my monitor and camera height for video calls. I'd really hoped this would be the answer for my aging back, and it did help my posture when sitting, but it introduced other issues that I couldn't deal with.

Putting it together sucked!
The product appears quality, I have no problem paying for quality. The instruction video could definitely have been better, it conflicted with the written instructions, and had No Verbal Instructions, just nerve wracking music. The “owner” would hold up an item, but all you could see was his fingers, not the item, so it was very frustrating to follow. There is a spare of each screw, but it doesn’t mean it matches the others. Half the screws went in as intended, the others were a struggle, and the last of the four screws essential for holding the seat on was a nightmare. The hole must not have been bored through at all. It took HOURS to get the last screw even partially in, and it was impossible to get it flush, let alone screwed in like the rest. While fantasies of finding a big enough box to ship it back as is was definitely playing in my head to match my unladylike vocabulary, I hope it holds so I can keep it. I think the quality does appear higher than most kneeling chairs, and I also think my experience with the assembly is probably not the norm. If you are proficient at putting together IKEA-type assembly furniture, this should be easy for you. There is a bit of play in the knee movement, but not as much as indicated in other reviews. I don’t expect this to be my full time computer chair, but it will help break up the 10 hours of unforgiving sitting/standing I currently have to do. I’ve got a desk that raises up and down, so finding the right level is not an issue. The ability to be more mobile with the hips and ability to rock should be welcome, as long as those seat screws hold. I’m 5’11 and 185lbs, so fingers crossed. UPDATE: After less than 15 minutes of the first use, the continual bend in my knees cut off the circulation in both legs, and I had to stop using the chair. I’m so disappointed, and this can’t possibly be the norm, but for my experience I was not able to use the chair. It truly is a beautiful piece of furniture, I loved it allowing for more freedom of movement with the hips, and ability to rock was very nice. For as tall as I am, it only helped with posture a bit. I think if I could have used it longer, it would have actually been very helpful in training my posture to become better. I like the company, the quality, the product they put out and their drive to make a better product than the competitors. If you’re able to use a kneeling chair, this is definitely a nice one.

Impossible to assemble
My chair was delivered without all the proper holes drilled. Please see the picture of the back of my knee rests. One has the holes for attachment and the other does not. This is an absolute waste of money and unusable.
