Matis Response Premium The Day Caviar Face Day Cream

I have sensitive skin that gets weather-beaten, and I also have type 1 Rosacea. My skin saver has always been Guerlain's Midnight Secret (yes I know it's a night cream, but I used it as a day cream), but sadly Guerlain changed the formula and the new version doesn't work for me. So this Matis is my attempt at a replacement.It's not the miracle worker the old Midnight Secret was, but it's a great cream. I use it as both a day and night cream, It's very effective as a daytime barrier cream and general perk up moisturiser. Using it overnight sorts out any dry and flaky patches or windchap.My skin reacts badly to a lot of High Street brands, they sting and cause spots or red patches. I've had no problems with this Matis cream.Sadly, the Matis doesn't help my rosacea though. Whereas the Midnight Secret really did bring down the red, the Matis has no similar effect.There are two small downsides with this cream. It comes in a pot, rather than a pump dispenser - personally I find the pump dispensers more hygienic and less wasteful - and it never quite settles on my face. My skin stays slightly damp feeling and dewy looking.So not the Midnight Secret replacement I'd hoped for, but overall I'm really pleased with it and will buy it again.
