Great product. I am new to soft shackles so was surprised how strong they are. Used this winter to pull a cargo van out of the snow. Worked great. Like how they are easy to attach to odd shapes. I don't worry about a heavy metal shackle flying back and serious injuring someone if something breaks. Going to use for side by side trail riding for vehicle recovery if needed. Would recommend. Way better than steel shackles and metal cables.

I have been using this product for a few years so far. There is little to no wear after a few dozen recoveries. I would definitely buy it again.

I used these to pull out a couple of trees and I was worried that the rope would not stay on the groove. Used with a soft shackle and once you have tension on the pulley it didn't come out of groove. Worked very well. Used with 13mm rope rated for 7k lbs.

I think the size is pretty misleading, as it's the same length as one of my 8" shackles from voodoo off-road and the diameter is about the same as my 1/2 shackle as well. But still, for everything you get with the two shackles and snatch ring I think this is a great price. Can't speak to disability yet as I haven't had to use it.

So far, happy with the shackles-Can't speak to durability- have only used them a couple of times but they seem like they or good for occasional work or as extras to throw in the vehicle for emergencies.

I never heard of a soft shackle before I viewed these. We used them several times now and they work great. I did notice after the purchase that they are not for overhead lifting. The break away strength is (30) ton so in our application there shouldn't be a problem.

I couldn't find on Amazon what this was made of, so I ordered 1. Box says it's 7075 aluminum, which is a high strength machinable alloy often used for aircraft parts. This thing is solid, and well and smoothly finished. The flanges are 1/4" thick, 5/8" apart, and just about 4" outer diameter. The hole is 1 3/8" inner diameter. The waist inside the groove is 2 1/2" outer diameter. All these values are a bit approximate because the surfaces are all slightly tapered; for example at the bottom of the groove between the flanges, the drill bit size that most closely fits the curve is 9/16". I can't imagine damaging this thing with synthetic rope! I ordered two more.

Seems very sturdy. Very bright hi-vis red.Nice soft edges, feels good in hand.Fit is true to size, matches my synthetic rope well.I have yet to see how it recovers, but I am impressed so far.

Very simple to operate and use, minor heat buildup caused by friction, but overall a must have!
