Feedback after 1 year of heavy wear
Wanted to write a quick review after one year of heavy wear, because I think this company deserves it. Wore these all last summer and fall, and again daily this spring, and overall they still look almost new and feel like they have years of life left. They definitely stretch a bit, so buy a bit too small and plan for a week or so of break-in. They might rub a bit at first so don't plan to walk too far in them for the first week, but after a little wear-in they really mold to your foot and are comfortable to walk in all day. The leather is thick but supple, definitely good quality. Lastly, I really like the heavy rubber sole, rather than an all leather sole - it adds grip, durability and makes my feet less sore when walking on cobblestones, etc..Anyway, style-wise everyone has their own opinion, but in terms of quality material and durability, I have worn and loomed at a lot of braided leather shoes and these are better than the many more expensive Italian-made alternatives I have seen. Totally worth the price.

Wonderful
These shoes are just lovely. Well made... of quality materials. I know they will age nicely, becoming softer and more familiar to me. They run true to size, I got 11s because they were the only size near mine with Try Before You Buy, but they were too big and loose and flapped when I was walking, so I returned them and bought my regular 10.5 size outright. I loved their quality, and the company is dedicated to all the right stuff: ethical standards for animals and a living wage for the workers.-I've been wearing boots for +20 years, it's time to give my feet a break. These things are doing the trick.

Good buy
Stylish and nice quality. Go for a full size smaller - I normally wear 10.5 and ordered 9.5 as recommended by vendors website which worked perfectly.

They Stretch! You Have to Break Them In.
After reading a ton of reviews for these shoes, I decided to do what was suggested and get 1/2 size down. My first time putting my shoes on, I thought that they were extremely tight and uncomfortable. I was definitely under the impression that they were too small and that my proper size would’ve fit better. I decided to stick with the break in process to stretch them out. After wearing them for a few hours, I did notice that they stretched out a bit. I’ve been wearing them now consistently for about 4-5 days, and they are definitely a lot bigger. More akin to a size 9 then the purchased size 8 1/2. They are still a bit snug, but but they’re at least comfortable. If I had gotten my proper size, size 9, they would have been too big after stretching and probably would slip off the back of my heel when walking.

These are great
I bought these for a Greek vacation and I felt like a God walking through the halls of history with these awesome sandals. They run big so I went down a size. They are comfortable, stylish, and pair well with hot tropical weather. Couldn't be happier with the purchase and they came with a nice storage bag.

Super snug
Super snug, and way uncomfortable when you first try them on...description says it will stretch after the first 7-10 wears, but you cant return them after that, if in fact, they are too small. Probably best to use a shoe stretch solution and wear a medium thickness sock and walk around inside. The sole is gum rubber so it will wear down fast and most likely unevenly, so it will have to be re-soled. At the price point for this shoe, a much better sole, like rubber tire tread ( which is what mexican Huarache Sandals are made from ) would be more cost effective, eco-friendly, and longer lasting. A small padded arch support would also be expected at the $110 price mark.

Sizing Is A Challenge. Price Is A Factor
I’ve recently tried on 4 different sizes of these sandals. The manufacturer recommends downsizing by 1/2 size from what you normally wear. I’m a size 13, but I decided to be bold, and ordered a12. The 12 was considerably larger than my size 13 feet. So, I ordered a size 11.5. In error, I received a size 10. Too small! I reordered the 11.5 and received the size ordered. Still too large, so much so that the heel readily slipped out of the sandal when walking. Mind you, this a size and a half below what I normally wear! So, process of elimination tells me that I’m either a 10.5 or an 11. Frankly, this process has made me lose interest attempting to figure it out. There’s a part of me that believes there’s a “design flaw” in the construction of the heel, no matter what size may be the right fit for my feet with this sandal. Another factor to consider is that this huarache sandal is very pricy vis a vis its competitors by as much as a factor of 2 or more. By their inherent design, huaraches are intended to be light and flexible. That’s to be expected. However, for $150 these sandals feel, well, insubstantial. Two of my purchases were at a “sale” price of $130, so I decided to undertake my sizing adventure at that reduced price. Now? $130 is no longer a sufficient inducement. I’ve given up the “chase”

Comfortable, stylish, and sustainable
Extremely comfortable sandals, they look great with linen pants or with white shorts. As everyone says get a size smaller than you think. I love that they are a sustainable company and product
