I have a 4.5 month old who is almost ready for solids, so picked up these spoons to get him used to holding them and bringing them to his mouth. They are great, seem very ergonomic for his little hands and the vent-holed ones are great for practice... he loves to gnaw on them (so it's nice that they're made from food-grade silicone and have a textured teething side too). I've been using the non-vented ones to give him a liquid probiotic supplement and it's the perfect size for his mouth, and deep enough to hold a not-too-big not-too-small scoop of puree when he's ready.

I purchased a pack of these for my God Son, that is in the learning stages of self feeding and these worked perfectly for him. The material is soft enough that food easily pushes through the center making it an easy to use spoon for a beginner at self feeding. These can also be used for teethers.
