Furnace Quieter - Sludge?
The furnace is definitely quieter. Hard to tell till filler change if this product eliminated some of the sludge.

Much better than other treatments
I have been treating my indoor heating fuel tank as long as I can remember. My main concern was keeping the moisture in the tank from laying in the bottom to help against corosion in the tank. Three years ago the product that I was using was no longer available. So I tried HOT. For starters the next fall when I replaced my tank filter it was black. So HOT dissolved the crap in my tank. Also I noticed when I pull the three burner caps off to stick a sweeper hose in there, there is hardly anymore carbon flakes in there. And when I remove my flue damper to clean out the flue pipe leading to the chimney, there is hardly any carbon flakes laying in the flue pipe proving to me that the fuel oil is burning more efficient. Great product!

Saved me from getting a new oil tank
I bought this product because I was told by our HVAC service tech that I probably will need to replace our oil tank in the basement. It is original to the house built in 1983. It has no leak but a lot of black liquid junk was removed from the tank during the service even with regular maintenance.I called and asked around for oil tank replacement estimates. One HVAC contractor in town was honest enough to tell me about this product. He said if the tank has no leak, just buy this product and that will help. So I did what I was told. I emptied the whole bottle in the fill the same day of my oil delivery. Immediately I noticed the difference in my furnace. It is working quieter than before. I don’t hear the whistling sound anymore. I also feel the heating in the whole house is much better. I am so glad I found out about this product and chanced upon an honest HVAC service company as well. I saved myself thousands from getting a new oil tank. I will definitely switch my service once my current contract expires. I will keep using this product until I really need to get a new tank.

Keeps my outside oil tank from jelling in severe cold
3 years ago I had to replace my old oil tank in my garage, which was located on the opposite side of the house from the furnace, with a new oil tank. The new tank was installed outside my house closer to furnace. The first winter with the outside tank we had a cold spell where the overnight temp was <10 degrees. That same morning my furnace stopped working. That's was when I learned that standard heating oil jelled when the temp falls to the teens or under. The oil service responded to my 'no heat' call and dumped a bottle of 4in1Heat to unjell the tank and cleared the oil feed line. From that point on I use 1 bottle per tank per fill whenever the temp is forecast to fall below 20. Even when overnight temps fell into the negative range last year over a several day span I had no issues. I use anywhere between 2-4 bottles per winter. Great stuff.

Mechanic in a bottle
Called furnace repairman as mine was cutting out. It was cleaned the month before. He came opened it up and dirty again, he said bad diesel in the area and he's put this stuff in 11 people's tanks over last 2 weeks. Hasn't been back to any of them. Just use a bottle every fill-up and you should be good. 1 yr later I add a bottle at fillups...no issues. Highly recommend

I guess it's working?
I grew up with gas heat, so when I bought my house and it has oil heat, there was a learning curve. First time I went low on the oil tank, it was at about 1/4 full when the burner would no long fire. The tech and I surmised that there was sludge floating on the top 1/4 tank and that doesn't really burn as well. A few years later and a few bottles later, I ran low again. This time though, the tank was at 1/8 before it would no longer fire. I do get regular maintenance, and I have had the same oil provider the entire time, so the only thing I can guess it that it is eating away the sludge. Your mileage may vary.
