LINDY Euro to UK Adapter Plug

Seems well made but not tried them yet but they look safe.

Used with an alarm clock, works perfectly. My plug fitted no problems and is much smaller and cleaner looking than a standard adapter plug - once fitted the plug looks like a standard, slightly thick UK plug. It secures closed using a small screw, you could probably use it without this but it wouldn't be particularly secure. Easy to fit and works well with our Swedish bought products. However, the plug came in just a clear bag with no instructions or safety warnings, it was only by reading previous comments that I knew the fitting of the plug is a one time only process - i.e. once you tighten the screw you cannot undo it without damaging the plug. I would buy again.

What a simple but fantastic idea to adapt a European plug to British standard plug , bought a aquarium and a aquarium heater on line and it did not state in details that they were supplied with European plug , by luck came upon this plug and I bought one and had no hesitation in ordering another. I do not think that you will be disappointed in this plug it simple but effective like all the best thing's.

The item I received from Tektica was NOT made by Lindy but by PowerConnections (http://www.powerconnections.co.uk/convert_eurotouk_fcp.htm), and it's their FCP model which was clearly embossed on the back of the adapter.It is a totally different design to the Lindy one listed here, and does not open up at all even if you have the appropriate screwdriver bit to remove the security screw (which I do) as the two halves are glued/welded together.In addition there is the following note/warning on the site I linked to above: - "Please note: Once this converter has been fitted the euro plug can not be removed."So if the euro plug you insert has a flange around it's base, as shown on that page, then you will not be able to remove it unless you destroy the adapter in the process!!PowerConnections do make one (model ECP: http://www.powerconnections.co.uk/convert_eurotouk.htm) similar to the Lindy one listed here but that is not the one I was sent by Tektica!I'm not going to bother sending it back as although I can't use it for what I wanted, I'll just hang on to it for a different appliance. Also it'll cost more to post it back anyway.

This converter plug is well made and reasonably priced....However... the socket/ cavity is too small for my two- pin continental plug that came with my Braun electric shaver, so I cannot use it.I suggest before buying that you make doubly sure that your particular two pin continental plug will enter the adaptor.

Converts an European plug 2 pin plug to a UK 3 pin plug easily by inserting the plug inside and screwing it shut, much safer than travel adapter for long term use. Obviously this converts the plugs shape only so the product you attach it to must be able to operate on 240v for this to help you, nothing this small changes the voltage as well!
