2nd Pair. First Lasted 3 years.
The first pair of these lasted nearly 3 years of daily cycling in winter-spring autumn and occasionally the summer. Indeed, only being replaced for two reasons: The seat has become a tad worn - this was not due to the fabric but that I occasionally use a bike with a Brookes Cambium saddle. Unlike, the usual Brookes saddles - my daily ride - this is made from rubber, not leather. One of the known issues with this saddle is that the rubber tends to ruin shorts, trousers etc, It's just has a lot of friction. Try one, you'll see what I mean,Second I was fatter when I bought my first pair and they are now simply too big - more of that next. The one thing with these is that the size chart is nonsense. I am a "true" medium - at least nowadays. Despite what the size chart says if you are a medium fit in most trousers/shorts buy medium here. One of the complaints below, especially from German buyers is that the crotch is too "big". That's because they are buying the pants too big - they are supposed to be tight(ish) around your legs.Anyway, good quality, long-lasting, water-resistant to some degree, breathable and warm. Highly recommended.Oh! One other thing: They claim to be handwash only. Machine washed mine for years - and occasionally waterprrofed them. Never did them any harm.

Really warm and comfortable for cycling...
Bought these trousers after cycling in near sub-zero temperatures recently and realising I needed something warmer than shorts and running tights. I have only worn them once, a 20-mile ride at the weekend and they were absolutely superb! They are fleece lined inside. Completely protected my legs from the wind without making me feel too hot. The material has just the right amount of give in them so they can flex with your bended knees. I can't speak as to the level of water resistance yet as we only had very slight drizzle towards the end of the ride. It says they should be hand washed - I risked them in the washer at 30 degrees and they came out fine, with all mud splatter completely gone and no stains remaining. I wouldn't risk them any hotter than that. The trousers are a snug fit. I am typically a 32" waist and 30/31 leg. I bought the medium and they fit me absolutely spot on. I could potentially have gotten away with a large so if you are in between sizes, I'd suggest choosing the larger of the two given my own experience. The only improvement I would suggest would make them perfect would have been velcro strap round the ankles or elasticated cuff etc. They are tapered to a degree though so I was never concerned about them getting caught in the bike. Excellent product overall, I hope they are long lasting. Great for the price and I would certainly recommend.

Good, but not great
O have a 6 mile commute, just long enought to work up a sweat and as these are feece lined they tend not to let the sweat evaporate, meaning they can be wet on the inside. They are shower proof (for the one time I have ridden in a shower) however your backside still gets wet from tyre spray if you dont have any mudguards. My calves are fialry big and the trousers do tend to ride up your thighs as they are fairly tight, that being said they are well made, would be ideal if it is really cold, look fairly good, warm and fit well with a high back to stop draughts. Over all they are good, and as good as some far more expensive pairs but not great

Cheap and cheerful winter mtb trousers.
Good value winter/spring mtb trousers. Tapered at the bottom with elasticated end so won’t get caught up on chain. Not quite water proof but takes a lot to get them soaked through.Perfect for forest mtbing.Says handwash only but had no issues putting in machine on a cold gentle cycle.

Very Good!
I purchased these based on previous reviews. I can con confirm the following from my POV:Design: Fully fleece lined / Outer fabric is polyester / Pockets are not fleeced lined ( a meshed type fabric)Fit: Soft with firmness and a stretchy fit. Comfortable and warm. Really good finishing (seams & graphic details)Size: Small : I am 5ft 7 male and these fit perfectly - I am 32inc waist. The have elasticated waist with stringsUse: Golf & social cycling - will use with leggings during colder winter daysOverall: 8/10VFM: I think the price is about right for the product qualityRecommend: Yes!Note: These are NOT waterproof

Size guide is WRONG
So, having taken the time to check the size guide find my size of 34 waist and selecting 2xl based on that guide, imagine my surprise when the trousers arrived and were "massive" - about a 38-40inch waist. No problem i thought, I will simply return them....Well, imagine my surprise when I go through the returns process and find I will be charged £3.99 to return them. Had I ordered the wrong pair because I was stupid, that's my hard luck - but their sizing was wrong, e.g.their fault - so why "charge me" to correct their fault!!!At least Dick Turpin wore a mask!

fist impressions very good
just come back from a forty + mile bike ride in freezing temperature this morning after four gave up, one to the cold ,one had the key , the other two complaining its bloody cold and took the easy option IMHO. just to set the record straight it was bloody cold , snow flurries and a pace that sent the wind chill factor down below freezing, So there is NO padding ,so used a short's liner with padding and my long winter hiking socks plus first time with overshoes , All bases covered. No complains by me as my legs where toasty whilst riding, the pants have a thicker material on the front which helped a lot,the back a similar thickness to general thermal cycling tights, the pockets seem excess but probalby helped with the insulation factor, only drizzle on the way back so cannot comment on the waterproofness first time used but impressed, would reccommend

They fit
The product for the money is OK. I do not intend cycling in the rain, so cannot comment on how waterproof they are. Comfort OK. Windproof OK. Needs to be a bit tighter at the bottom of the leg. Has caught in the crank.
