I'd suggest for the average need it would work fine.
For the price the OB seems to be well built. Because of our unusual application it would not work for me. I'd suggest for the average need it would work fine.

Nice, I was excited to finally see an affordable 48v outboard, and I must say I'm impressed, especially considering price. It is fast and light with decent torque. I'm using it with a 48v lith-ion battery from an electric car. For the price it's the most powerful electric motor I have seen, although there are not a lot of options for 48v motors yet. I like the LED display on the hatch to see the battery life. Also has a little button for cruise control. Comes with a manual in english that was a little better than I thought it would be. It was easy to set up. It's not a torqueedo but it's a lot cheaper. I am not on mainland US and seller had problems shipping through amazon so they made arrangement to purchase from alibaba, which was fast, arrived in less than a week from china. Excited to get back on the water with it.
