I bought flint and steel kit from Amazon that came with everything you need. However the flint that was supplied with it was not shaped real good for fire starting. It did work, it was just difficult to hold. I bought these and they are perfect. Easy to hold with char cloth and easy to knap to get new sharp edges.

I received 10 chert stones. They all throw sparks and were all a good usable size. A couple of them were fairly large and will last a while. If you need chert to start fires and can't find any around you or are just being lazy then these are great. I just got them to practice with while I recover from surgery.

Liked how it was packaged when it came. Nice size pieces and good for that young rock collector!
