I have lots of cotton shorts that have been fine for the normal summer weather. But this year is anything but normal with 100+ temps on many days. Even though I'm in a downsizing mode clothes-wise, I had to get lightweight shorts to run errands and maybe go to fast casual dining on these blazing hot afternoons. These shorts fit the bill and are the top quality I've come to expect from Real Essentials. They fit well, are sewn competently and look like they will last for years, though I absolutely hope this unbearable heat doesn't continue for years. Whoever said (Donald Trump!) that global warming was a myth is completely wrong. If I have a quibble, it's the colors they put together. I would love a gray and black combination without the uh, I don't even know what color to call the mauvey-brown hue of the third pair of shorts. It pretty much doesn't go with anything but black or white. But I'll keep those for my stay-in-the house days. Otherwise, I love them!

When washing, I learned from another review, that you should always tie the waist before you wash and dry on all drawstring waisted shorts and pants or you might loose them inside and not be able to get it back to tie later.I ordered these in a larger size than recommended, for two reasons: in case they shrink and to be comfortable to sleep in.I'm glad they have pockets too. Good products (3!) for the price.

I bought these shorts for sleeping. I cannot believe how comfortable they are. I want to wear them everywhere! These are so soft and the quality is amazing for the price. They are a bit longer than I expected but truly adorable. I am 5’4” and 145lbs and the Mediums are perfect. Not too tight and look great worn on my hips or at my waist. Also…. POCKETS!

The fabric of these is super soft, and the length is good. I bought them looking for something loose/flowy for lounge/sleep. I expected them to be a little looser in the leg since I ordered the XX Large. The waistband is really comfy and the pockets are big.

Super comfy, but longer than expected. I have to roll them up so they fit a little better.

I usually wear a 1x to 2x. Im pregnant and having trouble finding comfortable maternity shorts for the summer. Anything in my size was extremely short or covered the entire belly up to my boobs and its way too hot in the south for that. I decided to get regular plus size shorts instead and got a 3 pack of these shorts. They are perfect! I got a 3x so i could grow through my pregnancy with them and they are going to be perfect for that. They are a very soft stretchy material and they drawstring up just fine to fit my early pregnancy belly.

Lightweight and very comfortable. These are great for around the house or sleeping in. The light blue pair I got are a little see through but I don’t plan on wearing any of these out, so that’s fine. The waist was a little bit baggy on me, but that’s not a deal breaker at all.

I purchased these shorts for working out at home, and wanted something that wasn't biker shorts (because they ride up, are restrictive, and not very flattering on me).I find these shorts are not all that flattering, because they can cling in some areas, but holy cow, are they COMFY. I find myself wearing these around the house, and lounging about in them.My only gripes are the blue ones are very odd compared to the other 2 pairs (you will see what I mean by this) and the strings can easily get pulled out in the wash if you do not tie them together.This would be 5 stars if the blue pair wasn't so different from the other 2, and if they were a little less clingy.
