First page to last..... loved every word!!!
The Price of Love, the second book in the Underground Werewolf Fight Club Series, contains everything I not only long for in a great read.... but in a second of a series as well. It delivers a bit of something for every reader... the adventure/competition of the fight club, family and all related issues (both humorous and trying), and drama in the form of an unexpected encounter that places a loved one in jeopardy. It expands upon the characters from the first book... giving the read a deeper richness. It is perfectly balanced, linear, well crafted, beautifully written, and within the first few pages I was emotionally captivated.... the words are laid down, exquisitely expressive, and rise up like tendrils of smoke... swirling... whispering... enticing me to follow their dance from page to page..... perfection!!!The moments with Anna, Bryant's little sister, are warm, humorous and loving... the moments with Jake's family are instantly relatable... the introduction of Bryant's father adds a dimension of intrigue and tension to the storyline. But the returning main characters, Bryant and Jake, and their relationship are the indisputable driving force in this story... their chemistry explodes off of the page!!! Even when Bryant is pushing Jake up against the lockers... roughly, urgently... the aura of sensual love cast around them emanates from the pages, and is felt by the reader with each amatory glance... touch... in their every word. This is a toe curling... lusciously delicious read...I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book...

Will love win out???
Bryant is an alpha who is used to being alone. He's not used to letting people in, but omega Jake has gotten under his skin. They are dating now and Jake has integrated himself into their family. Bryant is starting to dream of a future. A future with Jake. When Bryant's omega father comes back into the picture and kidnaps his sister, to pay off a debt, Bryant has to rely on his friends and Jake to get her back. Bryant's used to handling things on his own but this time he needs help. A group of alphas, Jake and Bryant fight with, help him to rescue his sister. Will they rescue Anna. Will Bryant realize that he doesn't have to be alone, that he can have a life with Jake? The Price of Love is an exceptional book. It will leave you wanting more. I couldn't put it down and was sad when it ended. Noah Harris has a way of bringing his readers into the story and making it seem like they are right there living it. Awesome emotional sequel!
Even though I'm not a fan of fight books I loved book one and this is the awesome, long awaited sequel to Fight or Flight! I love this one too! Bryant and Jake are still together and they're doing great. Noah has brilliantly written so much emotion into the book, I could feel it in spades and you can taste the genuine love between Bryant and Jake. This book is all about family, or pack, and what that truly means. Bryant and Jake, their fight club, Jakes parents wanting to run his life, his siblings support for him, Bryant's father, having left him to care for his sister Anna alone, turning up out of the blue wanting something Bryant is not prepared to give. His father taking it anyway to pay off a debt he owes another fight club. Bryant has to fight to get it back. Will his newly serious relationship with Jake stay secret even if Jake has to fight? Will everyone find out Jake is an omega? Can Bryant do it alone or will his dysfunctional 'pack' help? There's a clever build up of tension to the final scenes and then Noah ties it up in a wonderfully satisfying, beautifully romantic and seriously hot scene, leaving just enough open for another book. I absolutely loved this book and hope I don't have to wait so long for book three! I'm desperate to know how Bryant and Jake's future unfolds. Another Great Book by Noah Harris
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. What a phenomenal read from Noah Harris’s second book in the Underground Werewolf Fighting series. The author takes us further into the bowels of the dangerous and illegal wolf-shifter’s fighter’s world. This time the danger involves everyone Bryant loves and the fact he could possible lose those he has come to love if he doesn’t win a certain important fight, and all because of Bryant’s and Anna’s dead-beat dad, showing up when Bryant is at his happiest ever.Bryant’s happiness stems from not only his sister but the growing love between him and Jake. It’s getting harder to keep their secret about being lovers from the other Alpha fighters since Jake is an omega and it would be dangerous if anyone other than Jackie and Levi (Jackie’s lover) found out. But Bryant’s getting better about being seen in public away from their town with friends. It was important for Jake to introduce Bryant to his parents and siblings as his boyfriend, so they all met for dinner at a restaurant.Jake’s parent was against this pairing and refers to it as a fling Jake will get over. Jakes sibling really like Bryant and felt he was good for Jake. It’s after they were leaving the restaurant that Bryant meets one of the eligible Alpha’s Jakes father tried to mate his son up with; Christian Blackwell and his father a wealthy businessman in the area. Bryant definitely let Christian know that Jake was taken. It was after dinner with Jakes parents and they come home to find Anna missing. That loser, called a dad, had come over to their apartment and wiggled his way into Anna’s trust and she left with him. Bryant was frantic when he got home because he knew his father was using Anna as payment for his debts with the Blackwell’s fighters club. Jake calms his boyfriend down and he stands 100% beside him even though Bryant says no; stubborn Jake. The story unfolds and all hell breaks loose in trying to get his sister back. Bryant’s friends are behind him, Jackie, Levi and of course his boyfriend Jake. When they all get to the club is looks no different than any other in the area. You just didn’t know there was illegal shifter fighting underneath.Bryant hasn’t come up with a plan and four of them are not many against the herd of fighters inside the club. Much to Bryant’s andJake’s surprise, a large group of the Alpha fighters from his bar showed up to help. Bryant’s blown away realizing they had all sort of formed a dysfunctional family of wolf-shifter fighters and they would stand behind Bryant in getting his sister back. What an emotional moment.Noah’s writing keeps a steady pace with the thrilling situations for Bryant and Jake and the fights are riveting to read while I hold my breath. The author’s dialogues between characters are real and can go from light and fun to dark and dangerous and you’re right there with them. If you read the first book you have to read the second one it brings it all together.I love Noah Harris’s HEA endings and this one was the sweetest I’ve read in a while and it was very much in character with our two lovers.
