This travel mug works amazing, its too good.It comes with a disclaimer to beware of hot liquids and says to let boiled water sit for several minutes before sealing the lid to allow to cool. Definitely do that.My tea was still too hot to drink directly from the mug hours later, we’re talking 4-6hours+. Had to keep a small cup to pour myself some little by little during the day and not burn my tongue. Filled it before bed and still had hot water(drinkable by then) in the morning. Just wild.Has been entirely leakproof so far as well. It laid on its side with no spills when sealed and locked. Felt like the locking mechanism might get loose over time though, will update it if fails too quickly, but so far so good.Color is great, bottle itself feels good. A little small in my cars cup holder but fits great in the drink holder slot of my tote bag.Very satisfied and might get another.

I bought this to use at home on days I am home with my kids (moms don't get to drink hot coffee) as well as on-the-go. Leak proof/toddler proof when locked. It is the perfect size to fit under my keurig. I'm glad I didn't get a taller size or I could not have brewed directly into it. I like how sleek it is--it fits easily in my tote bag and is easy to hold.

I really like this Simple Modern Insulated Thermos Travel Coffee Mug with Snap Flip Lid. It keeps my coffee hot for hours and it's easy to open with the flip lid and no drips while drinking. If I were to change anything about the mug's design, it would be to lower the lid lock so the lips would not touch the locking device. Other than that, it's a great product and I would order it again. I give it 4 1/2 stars.

Am current user of a S/M 22 oz 4 year old double walled stainless reusable water bottle that I use daily & love! I am extremely pleased with customer service at this company as I had a problem with the lid of bottle a few months ago-- contacted Customer Service via online portal and they responded quickly & provided a new cap! So, was excited to find they had this stainless double walled travel bottle that fit my travel need of 16 oz, no more than ~ 8" H, so that could fit in my purse!... was a bonus that could use for hot or cold beverages-- so excited !-- all my criteria met. Received the travel cup/bottle just in time for weekend trip. It even had the push button release for lid that I like with my Thermos brand water bottle. Worked well over weekend in purse , not bulky, size fit my hand comfortably. Here is what caused the 4-star review: on flight home, placed bottle in side pocket of personal item bag that I stored under seat of plane. Whereas the Thermos brand bottle has a metal U-shaped lock that can be slid over push mechanism , this bottle does not. I neglected to remember that, it must have bumped something as I slid it under seat...& unbeknownst to me, popped open, causing water leakage into bag. Fortunately there was nothing that was ruined in bag. Overall, still like this bottle & will keep for a lighter use bottle in purse, but will remain aware of this design flaw.

I used this for ‘car coffee’ on a road trip. It comes with a list of do and dont’s. It says to leave the lid off for at least 3 minutes after adding the coffee. I did NOT do that, closed the lid, and hit the road. After about a half hour I went in for the first sip while in stop and go traffic. Let me tell you, I almost burned my face off and my tastebuds were almost ruined, definitely user error. I discovered that day that my coffee stayed hot (not burn your face off hot) until 3pm, (after having filled the cup at 6am,) and even then it was still warm. I discovered that I had the best luck temperature-wise for me, as a personal preference, was to fill the cup, leave the lid off for approximately 10 minutes (our hotel rooms were kept really cold), and then place the lid back on. I was driving anywhere from 7-9 hours a day, and I like to have coffee to help me through. This was one of the best purchases I have ever made, as the coffee stayed hot for a long time, which is what I like. I highly recommend this product. It’s easy to clean and does what it says. Bravo Simple Made. Bravo.

Edit: After a month I'm changing my 3 star to a 1 star as in addition to what I said before it also leaks. Maybe mine's defective or these other reviews are bogus because there is now nothing redeeming about this "thermos". Doesn't retain cold worth a damn and leaks from the same spot on the front during normal use. At first I thought maybe I hadn't screwed it on all the way and ignored it but it's a consistent leak. If I shake it to mix the contents it leaks from the hinge side. I've checked the seals and everything seems to be in place. You get what you pay for, be wary of these other reviews. Unfortunately I missed the return window, money burned but oh well. As I mentioned in my original review, I will be cutting this open (as it is trash and unusable) to see what kind of "double wall" this actually has and add the photos to this review regardless of whether they confirm my suspicion or not.Original Review:Putting iced coffee in this for work, this last week it was about 93-98*F in the shop I work in. By noon after about four hours all the ice was melted. I got the bigger version and like to sip through out the day and by the time early afternoon came it was already getting warm. Kind of a bummer.Lid seems to seal well and flips open nicely with the spring. Mouth is nice and isn’t awkward to drink from like some others.Reaching my fingers inside and pinching the side I find it extremely hard to believe this is actually double walled. It feels about as thick as the metal itself should be. I’m tempted to cut it in half and find out what’s actually going on. Until then, my experience of not keeping my iced coffee cold for even four hours is enough evidence that something isn’t right here.Perhaps it just isn’t rated to keep cold drinks cold when ambient temp is reaching 100*F, perhaps it would do just fine on an 80* day. I cannot attest to how well it keeps hot items hot.
