A wonderful insight into Thomas Jefferson
This book is a great view into the thinking of Thomas Jefferson through the eyes of another person. This book is a compilation of various quotes and letters of Thomas Jefferson that were collected, arranged by topic and date and published in 1906 by an attorney in New York City. It is interesting for many reasons. There are quotes that seem pertinent today, but these are the quotes that someone in 1906 found to be important to that era's thinking. Many of these are quotes that I have never seen before. Reading them now seems as though they were taken from yesterday's Washington Post. It is a very timely read that will give a whole new appreciation for Jefferson and what our country might look like had we not strayed so far from the intentions of the founders of our nation.
