Lovely little gift for a friend and seeds have grown !

Bought this for a young teenager as a token gift. I feel they make a personal gift with them being matched to birthday months and they are packaged nicely. The recipient is a beginner gardener and it has sprouted within 2 weeks, so she is delighted with it and already keen to do some more growing. She is agog with anticipation for when it flowers. We received a small basic pot, a disc-shaped block of growing medium (approx. 1 cm thick) and a packet of seeds with plenty to grow several times over. The instructions are cursory so if you know nothing about growing, some initiative may be required, though it will be straightforward for most to use: she put the block inside the pot and sprinkled with seeds and then moistened the seeds and block a little. The block broke up a little to accommodate the seeds and it was put on a windowsill which gets plenty of light. I docked one star as I had bought it along with a ceramic pot for the supplied pot to fit into while the plant grew, having checked measurements before purchase. Although the supplied pot is small, it was bigger than stated and unfortunately, it did not therefore fit inside the ceramic pot, so the supplied pot was discarded and the ceramic pot used instead.
