August Motorized TV Lift Stand, Compatible With TV Screen Sizes 30 - 55 Inches - 165-Pound Load Capacity

I've been searching for a motor lift for a 47" TV set in my sun room so that the television when not in use could be lowered and permit a better view out of a large picture window. I didn't want to spend $1300 minimum for a special cabinet, and just wanted to hide the TV set when not in use, behind my existing cabinet. I also wanted to avoid using my tile floor and the wall (in this case, a knee wall) to anchor the lift. So I'm pleased to say that this unit satisfied all of those requirements, and at barely half of the price of the Whisper Lift which appears to be similar in capability. Now it does need anchoring, but I did so without drilling into my floor or wall, using only a piece of wood as a base that also gives an extra 2" of height to the unit. I can't find an up/down switch on the unit itself, so I hope the remote doesn't ever give out. Easy to assemble and easily lifts my tv set, so I'll be a happy customer if this has a long life. The messy cords are hidden from view by the cabinet. AMENDED NOTE: I have found the control switches, they are located on the power block, and this is great since remote controls can go bad!

This lift is very nice. The construction is very robust for a 40 inch TV and probably could hoist something much larger very easily. It is quiet, well constructed, inclusive of an extra screw of each type and easy to put together despite marginally descriptive instructions. One thing to be aware of is that the mounting screws from this stand to the actual back of the TV are NOT included. They are usually M4, M6 or M8 depending on your TV. I purchased in the drawers at Home Depot. Many TV stands include a kit of these screws of several different lengths to accomodate most installations. This lift does NOT include this kit, but the screws were about $1 / piece at the Hardware store. Remote works great and most importantly, if the proprietary remote ever fails, at least there are UP and DOWN redundant controls at the plug in power supply. I tested and both work. There is also another connector (round multi-pin) that is not needed and undocumented, but perhaps could be used to use a third party controller or automation device. It would be nice to know how those pins are oriented and what their purpose would be in such a set up. All in all 9.5 out 10 with only these minor issues keeping me from giving it a 10.

I am a full time RVer. Most of the high end RV's have a TV with a lift kit. They paid very high price for that option. I was skeptical about this one because of the price it was pleasing to find out that this one is just as good or better then the ones I have seen on those 300 thousand plus R V's.

We are remodeling our RV which we travel and live in full time . We love this TV stand , sturdy and silent when you use the remote . This is wonderful now behind the fireplace intertainment center We put in front of it. When we travel and put the TV down very safe and secure. Very very happy wi we put in front of it. I purchased on 7/20/18 $239.99. It worked great. We could have the TV down so we could see out our front picture window and up to watch TV. 5 months later and now it wont go up or down. It is stuck in the middle. Motor makes noise but no movement. My TV is a 48" and weighs way less than what it is rated for. No where can I find any tech support or warranty information.

Easy to install and works like a charm! Much quieter than I anticipated.

Nice strong construction but almost no documentation. Who makes this, who would I ask if I have a problem or installation question?You are on your own with this lift mechanism. Good luck

Great product. Easy to assemble, very quiet. It has a lot of ways to adjust to the height you need. We have it in our motorhome with a 48 inch TV.
