Macbook 12 Case, Snugg™ - Leather Sleeve with Lifetime Guarantee (Electric Blue) for Apple MacBook 12 with Retina

A really good case, certainly for the price paid. I can be a bit of a snob when it comes to accessories for my Apple products and so was sceptical about this, but it looks really good, very simple/minimal, and does the job intended. I don't think it's real leather (?), surely it can't be for this price, but even looking closely I can't tell for sure, and if it is then even better! The only reason for the drop is starts is that it seems to put my Macbook 12 inch into standby when I'm using it...it drove me crazy for a week or more until a hour of searching online brought me the answer, if you put the Macbook on the case (e.g. on your lap on the train) and in just the right (wrong) place the magnet will make the Macbook think you've closed the lid. The simple answer is not to rest on it but given this is a case specifically for the Macbook perhaps this is something they could have done something about

There are not too many cases available for the 12" MacBook. This one looked OK in the pictures and I liked being able to match the colour of the laptop. The quality seems to be OK for the price and it is useful to be able to get to the charging socket when the case is closed. The only downside I have found so far is that it is the laptop is rather a loose fit. It could have been nearly 10mm smaller in both dimensions. Not a massive amount but as size is a major feature of the laptop it seems a shame to make the case bigger than necessary. That's why it loses on star

If you're looking for a genuine leather MacBook case, look elsewhere. Whilst this is a high quality case with the further bonus of a lifetime guarantee, this isn't genuine leather, it's PU. I feel the price is fairly high considering that similar cases can be purchased on eBay for a lot less, however I suppose that's the cost of a lifetime guarantee? Furthermore for only a little extra a genuine leather case can be purchased.Nonetheless, the case looks great and feels great too. The MacBook fits in a little tight meaning that the side pocket can't be used to store something like an iPad Air 2 without fear of stretching or ripping the case.

This is a well made and lightweight case for my MacBook. The interior is soft enough that it doesn't mark the gold finish on the laptop. It isn't provided with anything other than a small card slot and space for a few documents but that wasn't a problem for me as the Mac lasts for over 8 hours use so no need to lug power supply around. Finish is good quality and doesn't seem to scuff easily. Couple of small Slots for USB memory sticks or one for the necessary USB-C to USB adaptor might have been a bonus (on the flap near the fold for example).

For a product called "the snugg", I think this item could have been an inch smaller in each direction... I wonder whether they have just repackaged something that was close. Take a look at my photo of the Macbook disappearing into the oversized case.There is no doubt that the stitching quality is excellent, as good as you might see on a car steering wheel for example, but I think the Leather PU material is cheap, and as for the "smell" another reviewer spoke of, I gave my case a good smell straight out of the bag, and maybe a slight smell of plastic?.. certainly no luxury leather feel.On the plus though, it is more padded than I expected, and it looks very smart at a glance.TBH it is the sort of case you might buy on an auction site for £5 and wait 2 months for it to arrive.Disappointed... but I will keep it as it appears to be the only product on the market currently.Update 10th JuneTheSnugg Customer Service team contacted me about this review, and told me they thought I must have a defective item, however the replacement that they sent me is identical, still has plenty of room to spare, and is still made from something that resembles plastic.On the upside though - full marks for customer service and in fairness the item itself is holding up well.

It's nicely made but I have to say that it feels a bit big for the Macbook. There is some movement inside and usually you expect these cases to be a snug fit.Everything suggests that it is supposed to be for the new macbook (I scanned the barcode) even if the packaging said 'MacBook Air 12' which doesn't actually exist. I debated sending it back but needed it for a work trip so I have had to use it. If it is the right one, I give it a low rating due to its size. If it is the wrong one, send me a replacement and I will give it 5 stars!

Exactly what I wanted and delivered super quick. Has padded protection so adds some weight and bulk but not too much. Only reason for four stars not five is the price tag of £30 at the time of purchase. Great fit, as high quality as I could expect before turning real leather. Nice build, has stitching around the edges so they should frey like many other do so soon after purchase.

Use it for my MacBook for the past two years never slipped out once magnet is good but sadly the side knitting is starting to come apart and I can see the side of my laptop so not very protected. Would probable buy it again because it has been good and reliable. It also looks very smart and sophisticated.
