Surprisingly good
In Hyundai's case, some cars in the premium trim don't come with wireless Auto/Carplay, a bizarre choice. It was the same with the top trim Kia iI owned too. The cars in the lower trim come with them! Whatever the reason, I was in the market for an adapter.Of course I hesitated to get this product. I've combed through so many recommendations, none seem too encouraging. It's been a few months now, and I must admit the box is mighty impressive. Most of the time I just get into the car, start it up, and it's less than 20 seconds to get to Auto.It doesn't lag. The map moves in realtime. Audio definitely sounds better than a Bluetooth connection. Auto looks great in native resolution. The connection issues stem from the car continuing to power the device after it's turned off - so disconnecting can be a pain. I just gently plug out the cable if I need to (or reset the plug) - mischief managed.I'd say it's worth a try for what you pay. It provides good deal of value for that price. Which is a surprise to me, I didn't expect it to be so reliable. Well done.

Works well once I switched cables
So customer support is pretty responsive, not more than 24hr delay. I lead with that because this didn’t work out of the box for me. Customer support walked me through various setting changes to try and get it to work. None did, until support suggested trying another cable besides the one that was included. Like magic it worked great! I reset all the troubleshooting changes and am happy with it now.The cons: Besides not working for me with the included cable, it’s a tad clunky at startup. The screen that shows up before CarPlay is not the nicest looking and seems very “hacky” and low quality. I also wish there was a way to disable the status light. It’s bright green when connected properly and changes colors when audio is output. It’s distracting. I just flipped the box over. The manual it comes with is laughably small. If you have any vision issues - good luck. I have yet to be able to use the on car display settings - it auto connects to CarPlay to fast. Once on the settings page you would think the auto connect would be disabled, but it doesn’t. When making changes to the settings via the web app, every change requires the box to reboot. This seems excessive. Since none of the settings seem to have a dependency on any others, you should be able to tweak multiple settings before hitting save and triggering a restartThe pros: once up, CarPlay it is very responsive. I have a car with factory wireless CarPlay and it’s nearly imperceptibly faster/fluid than this solution. It connects reasonably quickly, not as fast as factory CarPlay, but pretty quickly. I have never used another aftermarket wireless CarPlay box, so I have nothing to compare it to.I used this on a 2023 Kia Telluride with the May 2023 update.
