It is a soft memory foam not a very high density like the old ones.It did have the smell of new foam as they all do but it does go after a couple of weeks .Really happy with it ,I need a super soft bed and this helps .I took it rolled up with 3 belts ! Under the plane on holiday and it made me able to sleep at night on a bad quality mattress ,so test passed as far as iam concerned

I have chronic pain in my back and hips. My old topper was memory foam and was going done, so I looked through the toppers for a good deep one and found this. It came very quickly. Wrapped tightly into a roll by plastic wrap them packaged. When opened it was a good size and deep 4 " as said. The outer cover is very pretty and can be taken off. This is quite firm but very comfortable.At the moment I am suffering extra pain and am glad I got this. Would recommend it.

I did much reading before the purchase. It was the only 4 inch memory foam mattress and it also had 50Kg/m3 density. Anything less than that I felt would lose its memory part sooner.I have now been sleeping on it for a month and my sleep pattern has improved. I do not feel that any part of my body is uncomfortable when lying on it and I drift off to sleep quite quickly. I rate it as a medium mattress but I suspect that the heavier the body the more it will sink in to the memory foam.Compared to other forms of memory foam I think it is good value for money. It was rolled up on delivery and I followed the enclosed instructions and did not sleep on it until the following night. I had no problem with any peculiar smell.

I bought this for my wife's bed as her mattress is nearly due for replacement. She absolutely loves it and sleeps so well she can't wait to go to bed at the end of the evening!It describes itself as 'memory' foam but we're at a loss as to what this really means, since it always springs back into shape, rather than retaining an imprint of the sleeper, which is what we thought 'memory' foam means. There's also a very slight smell, not unpleasant, which wears off in a couple of weeks.For anyone who can't seem to get comfortable in bed, this 4" thick piece of foam is certainly worth a try.

Husband has one on his side of our king sized bed. I haven’t got one as I like my electric blanket, which you can’t use with memory foam mattresses. Luckily our electric blanket is dual controlled, so husbands side off, mine on.Mattresses has really eased my husbands nightly hip ache. Hoping he Can remove it once he’s back to normal as having one topper on one side, and none on the other does make the bed look weird & lopsided !But can put up with that if his hip recovers

having had a memory foam mattress was a bit apprehensive, as I now have an ordinary mattress, but am so pleased with this topper, its soooo comfy and relaxing and the 4" depth is fantastic, and I am in my 80th year, this is much better than the whole mattress.

Bought this to replace an old and much thinner one. When it arrived it had a slight chemical smell which disappeared after a few days. This mattress topper is fantastic: thick and firm enough to support your back and the memory foam really adapts to your body shape without making it sink in! Furthermore, I find it does not heat your body during hot summer nights. In my opinion this is a high quality product and I am really happy with my purchase.

Got this after buying another one for spare room. Was so comfy got one for my daughters bed
