Works well in the under cabinet installation above my sink
I had a lighting fixture that was sooo hot that you could get burned when reaching for the on-off rocker switch if you weren't careful. I bought this as a saner solution and am very pleased with it. I did end up with a couple of screws that I couldn't figure out where they should go, but installation is very secure so what the hell.

good light
I had an electrician install it and i did see them outside cutting a hole in it with a drill.but it looks good. works well- i bought 1for bathroom and one forkitchen - I guess when the bulb goes bad i might have to buy a wholefixture if i can’t find the bulbs -maybe online- but sofar i’m happy

Some heads up
It took me 1.5 hours to install this. Be aware that the two knockout holes are located on the back panel, about 2 to 3 inches from each end. My existing wiring was located in the center of the cabinet so I had to drill a new hole. It helps to have a drill press and the right bits if you need to make you own holes. The next one I have to replace has the wiring coming in through the end panel so I have to figure how to get a hole in the end panel - not as straight forward.I was please with the ease with which the two pieces fit together once the cover was roughly attached to the housing and the wiring was complete. The two screws and two nuts are very small and the position is just awkward to work on (upside down with limited visibility). I expected to have the wiring interfere with the install of the screws/nuts but it was easy!A great price and saving on an electrician makes it all worth the effort.

Ignore Nefative reviews
All the negative reviews are from people who didn't read or understand description or instructions.Hardwired means you run the wire from outlet/switch to device. No power cord provided.Knock out plugs are EASILY removed. Push on edge with screwdriver AWAY from notch. Be sure correct knock out is removed based on path for your wire in. Choices are sides, back away from lens or top. Choose wisely. Make sure you have enough line wire length to reach internal wires next to toggle switch. You have options.Of course it is a challenge to install looking upside down under a cabinet. I did it in about 20 minutes. Felt like a dentist at times. Make your own template if that helps. Mount holes are 14 1/2 apart. 7 1/4 from center. 2 1/2 from BACK of light case.WW means warm white bulb. All sorts of 24 inch flourescent bulbs are easily found daylight, cool white, and warm white. LED can be used bypassing ballast. My ONLY mistake was not paying attention to included mini strain relief diameter. Did not really matter because only one knockout on side my wire came from. Full size not mini.

Easy Replacement
This is third time in 16 years I've replaced this fixture. But, I keep this light ON over my kitchen sink 24/7. It is my nightlight for the entire home.Actually, I've thought about replacing this fixture with some sort of LED improvement. But, I always end up back at the same dilemma: replace the mounting studs. See, this fixture exactly fits the mounts I already have in the tight (inaccessible) space above my sink.If you are a carpenter; or if you are an electrician, heck if you are an experienced handyman, this might not be the choice for you. But, if you are looking for an exact replacement for your burnt out light fixture, this might be it. So easy to swap out. Electrical is all common sense. Frame assembly might require a delicate touch. For the last time I'm promising that next time I'm going LED. For now, this was too easy. And, cheap.

Very Very Difficult to Install
The design requires you to take it apart and attach an inner base to the bottom of the cabinet. That's bad enough but there is no template to help you mark and drill holes as needed. Although the fixture is light, it is difficult to hold in place, mark the place to drill, install the screw while holding it up, etc. The wire provided is rather short and may not work for some people. I had to extend it to match up with the existing wiring. I wasn't sure I would be able to do it. Adding the second piece (not the cover) was almost as difficult. I had to make other adjustments as a hung sound bar that was so close that it turned off the switch on the fixture. For those whose hard wiring is connected to a light switch, you might just prefer this fixture to be switchless. All in all, I'll try to find another product if any of my other existing fixtures fail.

Light has a yellow glow
The light has a yellow glow. The fluorescent tube is not readily available. If that is not a problem the fixture is easy to install, basically three wires.

Insufficient light
I decided to upgrade the light bar in our kitchen pantry to something more attractive and decided on this product. Although a number of reviewers indicated problems with the knockouts, the one that I tried worked fine for me. However, there is not a knockout located at the most obvious location, the center of the back, so I had to drill a hole there instead. I wish that I had not, as I cannot now return it. The reason that I would want to return is that the light output is very weak. It might be OK for under cabinet use, as is one of the listed uses, but it is not bright enough for the other specified uses of even a closet, as I tried to use it, much less a room like a kitchen or garage. The bulb is much smaller in diameter than a regular florescent bulb and just does not produce sufficient light for much of anything.

Great price, fast shipping
Very easy to install but this is not a direct plug-in to wall, you need to have an electric wirecoming out of wall to make connections inside the fixture. But it is very easy to do usingthe black, white and ground wires. Very easy basic electrical connections. Light bulb is included.Fast and secure shipping.
