This is a replacement for the valve that came with a new sand filter. I over torqued the pvc male thread and cracked the inlet. I did some fiberglass patching and sealing and got it through the first year with the intention of buying a better valve this spring. After using the valve for a year I decided to make a direct replacement same brand and model. It's function is perfect. I normally don't have much problems with these types of valves and I've been a pool owner for 30 + years, but there are almost always some glitches or annoyances. In this case, there it always worked exactly correct. No catching, no dribbling, as I said, perfect. I did use a oil filled pressure gauge from a different supplier, but I've never seen a valve that came with a decent pressure gauge. I was more careful installing the replacement and there isn't a single drip anywhere in my filtration system. If you buy this valve, or a sand filter that includes this valve, take care when you tighten it. It is important with any PVC threaded connection, but especially important here.You will be happy with this product. It's great to get something that works well and exactly as it should.

I was worried about ordering a sand filter diverter valve online. But I am extremely happy with this one. Everything fit right up like it should. It functions properly acts just like the very first one that was on the filter. Thank you.
