I wouldn’t bother, if I were you.
This is not a book, it is a pamphlet. While it is encouraging, it is not informative. Essentially it just says that HS is an autoimmune disease and try an elimination diet. There! I just saved you 10 bucks. Better to spend the money and buy the book by Tara Grant, whom the author readily admits his information came from. I wish I had. Or if you don’t have the money, just look up online the autoimmune diet.

Dont expect a lot of insight. Very small pamphlet, and all information you can read on the internet
Not really a book, just a small pamphlet. Way over priced! Very misleading should be $3 or $4 at the most

Finally hope!!!!
Thank you! This book not only reassured me that my own theory of how much nutrition plays such a massive role in all theses autoimmune diseases but I instantly knew what my trigger food was! I’m going to give it up and I’ll come back and let you know my success!

Errors, not good information, a lot of filler text, look inside before you decide to buy
Poorly written book with factual errors and very little help for people suffering from Hidradenitis Suppurativa or HS as it is commonly known. Most of this book is filler 'information' with errors and the 'three steps' that are meant to put HS into remission don't appear until 78% of the way into the book and even then they are not clear, not really helpful and have errors. For good quality advice try Tara Grant's The Hidden Plague or for more general autoimmune dietary help try The Paleo Approach: Reverse Autoimmune Disease and Heal Your Body . Or any of the HS support groups that are out there. Believe me, people with this horrible condition will tell you what has worked for them and you don't need to rely on substandard sources like this book.Errors in this book include that 90% of the people with HS are smokers - complete rubbish; that 'most people, on average, develop this disease at the age of 23 years' which misunderstands both math and how disease works; that HS was discovered some years after it actually was; and that blueberries are a nightshade - they are not - among other errors. Also the 'diet' he suggests is a partial autoimmune diet that leaves in sugar which is one of the main foods that promote inflammation and one of the first that autoimmune diets suggest should be cut. And there are no references so it's hard to tell where the information in this book is coming from. He does make reference to a couple of good books like Tara Grant's and that's good but a lot of the statements in this book are unsupported by references. And statements like 90% of HS sufferers smoke show that he has misinterpreted at least some of what he has read. This is not a good quality source of information so don't be taken in by the positive reviews on this book.

Very supportive guide to better manage HS
Thanks for taking the time to really understand HS and the struggles its sufferers endure. I appreciated the book even though my own journey led me to the same conclusion, especially about trigger foods. Your organization of the methods simplified how to manage the disease so it did not seem like a daunting task. Again, thanks for your encouragement and compassion as it felt very supportive!

Feeling hopeful
Considering the lack of information there is on HS. Its really nice that a non HS sufferer has taken the time to help people suffering with this condition. This is a personal thank you to the author for caring. This book is realistic and informative. Definitely would recommend to read with an open mind.
