An Elin Favorite
I love Elin Hilderbrand's beach books and her Nantucket books, but something about The Blue Bistro made it one of my favorites. I usually have a difficult time putting her books down, but this one was especially difficult. This storyline was so well written and easy to follow. It almost made me want to move to Nantucket for the summer to work in a restaurant just to make that good money. What a dream! Elin makes it sound wonderful! Thank goodness we have books to transport us to these places and Elin's vivid description s to make us feel like we are right there.

Touching
Great story about the purest love. A great beach read. Prepare yourself to be hungry. The food descriptions were mouth watering!

Again, Wow
The characters, the food, the emotion that just keep you reading! I truly enjoyed this book. Erin has this way of capturing you and putting you right in the middle of everything that is happening, right in the moment. I can hear the sounds coming out of the kitchen, smell the food, hear the murmuring of the dining guests, the soft pop of the champagne and wine bottles opening. Great story, I’ll continue reading her books as long as they are published!

Unfinished editing perhaps?
This book was a mess. It had potential but I was quite surprised how poorly executed it was. Ms. HIlderbrand is usually an exceptional author with well developed and likable characters. The protagonist in this story falls short and the story itself is the same old “girl likes boy who treats her poorly” trope that just is overdone and makes me sad. Aren’t we done reading about women choosing louses? I don’t want to give spoilers here but it is hard to like main character or have any respect for her or her love interest. The best thing about this back where the background supporting characters who had small roles but seemed better developed. I got my copy of this for a deal and was excited to read it because I have loved the other things I have read by this author. I don’t know if this is one of her first books or if she had a deadline but overall this was not what I have come to expect from her. While it did keep my interest enough to read to the end I was very disappointed in the ending. Was hoping the main character would develop some integrity but sadly it’s a predictable ending and one that made me want to drop another star off this review!

really liked it!
The best love story ever! So complicated but yet so simple. The characters were realistic and you grew to love them. Fiona was so mysterious- until the end which was written so well. Admit to skipping over some of Adrienne’s memories ( too much detail and I found them distracting), but this was the only part of the book I did not like. Definitely going to Nantucket now ( never been!). I recommend this book for sure!

Good read pretty much…
I began this book with trepidation. I had just read a really good “who-done-it” and was looking for more of the same. I trued this book on a whim, as I had read one other book by Elon Hildervrand. Anyway, long story short, it’s pretty good as love stories go, but one thing I did not care for…the flashbacks. Actually too many. I found myself flipping through them. One thing to the author’s credit—she did italicize them making it easier to flip past them.

the blue bistro
What a wonderful novel! It was so great to read about the restaurant business - the front of the house to the back of the house and all the drama that ensues. I was very excited to find two of Elin Hilderbrand’s books on the Kindle Unlimited list, which as a senior citizen it’s the most affordable way first me to read. Hoping that I will find more of her earlier books on Kindle Unlimited soon. Thanks for a wonderful read! Really enjoyed the story and the characters antics!

THE BLUE BISTRO
Incredible read! I start reading Elgin’s books, get so hooked on her story lines that I have to read until it is finished. Fantastic storyline for any age. If you have fallen in love, worked until you were ready to drop, then this book will keep you immersed with the myriad scenes. Loved it!

Why isn't it available on Kindle?
A captivating novel which combines Elin Hilderbrand's twin loves: food and Nantucket. It's definitely one of her best so why isn't it available on Kindle? Nobody wants to buy an aged paperback with tiny font in 2024!

A book about flossing your teeth
I read this author starting by The Nantucket Hotel, good story good characters good hollywood plot. This book had plain characters, its predictable, not that I mind, but its the kind of predictability that leaves you feeling empty. I didnt connect with the characters and there were plenty of opportunities to get deeper on human matters, they are so shallow and the story is so simple i cant recommend it

loved it!
Once more Hilderbrand takes you through the twisted tormented life of her undeniably romantic characters, Nantucket is the place where every lovestory starts..

An easy read
I have read a number of Elin Hinderbrand’s beach town books and they are interesting, easy reads. It’s nice to revisit the resort hotels and restaurants with each read. The characters are endearing.
