Expensive but does the job well
I purchased the Zyxel True WiFi6 AX1800 Outdoor Access Point with the primary intent to eradicate the persistent dead spots within my home and garden, and it has proven to be unswervingly reliable. Although it is designated as an outdoor product, I positioned it in the loft, a location arguably subjected to more rigorous conditions, fluctuating temperatures being one. Remarkably, the device has maintained optimal functionality without necessitating reboots and has showcased impressive throughput. With over 20 devices concurrently connected, the marked contrast between this access point and a standard ISP router is evident, with the former manifestly outperforming. The range is exemplary, extending its signal impressively, enabling connectivity halfway down the road which is a notable achievement. While the initial investment is on the higher end, the longevity and sustained performance of the product render it a sensible acquisition, especially considering its utility beyond ISP changes, making it a sound investment over a 5-year period. In summary, for those struggling with connectivity issues and seeking a robust, enduring solution, the Zyxel True WiFi6 AX1800 is a commendable choice, offering reliability and exceptional range, though it does come with a premium price tag, its performance and durability justify the investment

Impressed for the price.
Have this and the bigger brother wbe660s together hard wired in to a poe switch, strugggled at first with the wireless backhaul Zyxel recommend, throughput was terrible, so have both hardwired just using smart mesh. Works well now and after a recent firmware update (6.75) I am seeing speeds just as quick as my Orbi960 system. Nebula easy to use but £34.99 a year per device is a bit steep, only £10 per device for Netgear Insight.

Works great buy annoyting that Zyxel chose not to enable Band C in a firmware update
PROS:On a good day can reach over Gigabit in speed, but can usually at least hit around 900Mbit.Improved speed at the other side of the house compared to WiFi 5.Seems reliable. Can pull the connected client list over SNMP.CONS:Does not expose WiFi link rates of clients over SNMP, only in the WebUI.Pulling traffic totals over SNMP takes several seconds so cannot be used to monitor client data transfer in real-time.WebUI could be easier to use.Zyxel are not adding Band C support despite it being license-free in the UK for several years.

Power and 2.5Gb Ethernet over one cable
Grabbed this to use with a Netgear WAX610 and a JONIFUN 10m Cat 7 Ethernet Cable. It allows 2.5gbps ethernet through to the router as well as being able to power it via one cable. Great for a device such as a router that benefit from being placed in the middle of a room. Can't fault it but I'll edit this review if any issues arise in the future.

Good injector
Ideal for the new WiFi 6 access points [using it with a Netgear WAX620].Low consumption [replacing an 8 port PoE switch which was solely used for this, consumption dropped from 60W to 11W] which is important considering the times we're living in.Not a lot of heating, no drops. Been marching on for a month - hope it keeps it that way.Nothing to complain really...

Excellent signal
Best AP I have had so far.

Would be great if it was reliable
This has the potential to be a great AP offering good real eorld connectivity of approx 1.2Gbps (this might seem lower than expected, but a lot more goes into the speed than just the AP) but is let down by 2 points.1. The unit I received has either a faulty or poorly designed Ethernet port. Many CAT 5E and 6 cables would only allow a connection speed of 100Mbps to my Poe switch. The issue appears to be that the pins are recessed slightly too far. Eventually crimping a CAT 6 cable by not fully compressing the pins on one end allowed a stable 1Gbps connection. All cables that connected at 100Mbps gave a reliable 1Gbps connection on a D-Link AP.2. Every day without fail the AP would cut out, showing as offline in the app / online management system. The SSID stops broadcasting and accepting connections. The unit gets reasonably hot. The only resolution is to unplug the AP for 30 minutes to allow it to cool. The POE switch used has reliably powering and providing data to other APs and SIP phones for a few years now, so I would be surprised if this is where the issue lies. The unit has been returned to purchase a different brand / model.

Verpackung Recyclebar6. Energieverbrauch angenehm niedrig7. Nebula Cloud nutzbar8.
