This is a really lovely Disney doll, she has a very pretty face and I like the fact she comes with a second outfit and some accessories. There are a few small imperfections on mine, for example the thread hasn't completely caught the velcro on one of the dresses, but overall the quality is nice and the animal figures look well-painted. I have Tiana and Snow White now and I definitely want to get some more.The only issue is her elbow and wrist joints feel very stiff and brittle, but I have found that putting a little machine oil on stiff doll joints helps. Carefully put a small amount on and start to gently work the joints then they should start to give.

Really lovely doll ,and it's Disney so you know ur getting quality, can be a bit pricy though I got in sale so win win

We bought this in May for my daughter's birthday and the hand has fallen off already. Too late to return. Not great quality for the price!

This is the shopdiseny storybook collection Ariel doll & she's beautiful, but there was a few issues with my doll. I do love her still but improvement could be made to her.1:Head moldPros: doll has the Beautiful 2021/22 face sculpt that the majority of Ariel dolls useCon: my doll has a paint bump in her eye( not to noticeable but I now it's there)2:HairPros: soft, silky & long red nylon hair.Cons: has hairgel making it not as nice. Needs a wash before giving doll to a child3:BodyPros: highly articulated doll & is nostalgic due to the bend n snap legs. Also a slight thicker waist & arms than on useral body. Doll has Barbie arched feet to make tail less bulkyCon: leg joints are very lose so not the most sturdy but if you keep her in the tail it's fine4.1:Fashion: mermaid tail & shell braPro: tail & top went in a slight different direction than all the other dolls are as the finds are crimped fabric & top is molded plastic with a cute boa type frillCon: basically same tail tube as 2021/22 but different fins. fins are odly folded so may need a light ironing & the way the doll is displayed with the bra frill looks ugly. I made it go along her back & it looks so much better. The 2021/22 doll has a elastic waist band that holds it around dolls hops, this one has velcro meaning it comes off easier & isn't as tight fitting as the others ( bit of a downgrade)4.2: Fashion: KTG/ villiage dress.Pros: actually includes a mini bow for the look. Semi accurate but still an interpretation of the villiage dress. has heeld shoes that the mold of helles are adorable. The corset part goes all way around to the back & is sewn down to the top( the KTG set Ariel didn't have it completely sewn down & go didn't fully to the back)Cons: her dress has some weird cut outs along the scalloped hem. Bow isn't very big. Heels are wrong colour in regards to the original outfit, but does add cohesion to the outfit so it's 50/50 depending upon if you like it to be canonically correct or r stylistically correct5: Asseaories: fine but nothing amazing. The dinglehopper brush is cute, my first flounder figure & the bread & flower bouquet makes no sense without a basket6: packaging:Pros: i ONLY collect dolls out of box & display on my self however, this doll has a box that is reusable as a display area if you want to.Cons:I don't like the colouring page on the back as while it's good for younger children, I personally see no point of it as rhw boxx covers it anyways.The dolls differences are also that the New Ariel is shorter, but you have to put them next to each other to find this outOverall thoughts? Really like the doll but the tail is better on the 2021/22 one although, if you want the second outfit options, she's a good choice.( for my review I used the 2021/22 doll to model the second outfit & the wave stand the 2023 doll is on is from the live action little mermaid Halle bailey Ariel deluxe doll ( I also did a review of that I e so check it out aswell) as it's a great stand for mermaid dolls).Edit: I actually bought a used basic Ariel doll & restored her so she can wear the second outfit included in this set

My 5 year old grandaughter was absolutely delighted with this. Great quality, it is her favourite toy and she plays with it all the time.

My 4yr old daughter has had this doll for less than 48hrs and her arm was that stiff that she moved her arm and it snapped off from the elbow. Also her hand has snapped off. Now my daughter has tons of barbies and disney dolls and this has never happened. Not impressed

Our favourite so far. Doll is beautiful with bendable arms and legs. Comes with plenty of accessories including change of outfit, boots and Olaf!

Ariel arrived and my daughters instantly fell in love with the her. However, her arms and wrist click to move them, not smooth movements like ballerina barbie. Within 20mins of playing Ariel's arm snapped off at the elbow. Discussed getting a different one w. my 3 and 5 year olds but they had their hearts set on this one. Easily returned to Amazon, and refund obtained. Ordered a new one and advised my girls to be extra careful with it and not to move them arms if possible. Other reviews had mentioned the arms snapping so I had already warned the girls when she arrived.3 weeks later and both one wrist and one elbow hanging on with a tiny thread of plastic. Ariel has attended Barbie hospital and been reinforced with skin coloured plasters to keep to those joints together.She's still very much loved but very frustrating that this happens when she's quite expensive. Not worth making her with these type of joints if you can't use them. Beautiful dress and tail (worth noting the first dress fell apart within the 2 days before I returned her, and the bow came off the band aswel)Few other reviews comment on Ariel losing her hair. She does molt alot so prepare to find her hairs everywhere! She still has lovely thick soft hair after 3 weeks and, even being bathed, hasn't gone knotted yet
