Perfect for someone looking for a mild tasting/mild fragrance.
Upon receiving this bag of rosemary leaves- it is a huge bag of rosemary. It is one pound. Non GMO. On the bag it says it can be used for cooking, fragrance and cosmetics. When I opened the bag, there is a light scent of rosemary. It is a very mild fragrance.Upon tasting some of the leaves, it is an mild rosemary. The flavor is barely noticeable in many of the leaves until I have chewed it for awhile and then as the fragrance was it has a mild rosemary flavor. Some leaves are stronger than other leaves. It is too mild for me to use in a recipe. I am used to a stronger dried rosemary flavor. To try it as a fragrance, I added a handful to some water and brought it to boil. It filled my kitchen with a light scent of rosemary. This is best for someone who may not care for a stronger flavor of rosemary or strong fragrance and just wants a hint of the rosemary.I debated between 3 or 4 stars. I chose Four stars because though it is extremely mild in flavor it may be very good for crafting and cosmetics. 1 pound is going to make a good bit of sachets as party favors.

Raw & Aromatic Dried Rosemary Spice Used In Cooking & Other Uses Around The House
# My ReviewThis review is for the Rosemary Spice Dried Crushed Leaves (1lb). It’s the first time I’m seeing the Natureful brand, so curious on the quality of its contents. The product packaging is generic with Natreful branding clearly visible, and the product description, labeling and nutritional contents well-defined on the stickers on the front and back. You get a big bag of dried rosemary leaves delivered in a clear plastic bag. Upon opening the pouch, there was a subtle aroma of that pointed to a mild flavor profile. Pouring the contents into a bowl, you see a beige colored leaf stem – both of these experiences point to it not being as fresh as I’m used to.As a food spice in cooking, I’ve used this in a number of different ways which delivered a mild savory profile! I’ve used this in creating rubs for chicken, pork, and sprinkling in salads. Too much rosemary can overpower whatever you’re making, so a little goes a long way. Don’t over use, but just enough to get the appropriate flavor profile that makes it tasty. The spice wasn’t as strong as I’m used to, so I used a little more than usual to get a deeper taste. That aside, I suggest storing these in an airtight container after opening to try and keep the fragrant spice from losing its oomph!Overall, this is an OK dried rosemary leaf product that comes in a large bulk sized bag. You’’ll certainly get a lot of uses in this bag, so I recommend. If you found this review informative, then please click on the “[Helpful]” button to let me know to continue providing these unbiased and in-depth reviews for this community. Not as Fresh but TONS of Rosemary!
Wow, when I first agreed to try these out I had no idea I would read save such a large package of rosemary! Cool. No complaints there. This bag is going to last for quite some time and I am going to be able to make a lot of chicken and roasted veggies with this. Very good value here.I will mention that this doesn't seem to be the most fresh rosemary, at least compared to other dried rosemary I have used in the past. It is not as fragrant and not as pungent tasting as what I am used to.I still say this is a good value.

Great price and quality!
HUGE amount for the price - one pound of a dried herb is a LOT more than you think! This is great quality rosemary - before you even open the package there are two things that stand out: 1) the pieces/leaves are all whole - no broken pieces; and 2) there is no ‘dust’ in the package. To me that was very impressive even before opening it up. You can tell the product is high quality. Then you open it and you get that incredible rosemary scent that is almost intoxicating. I use it primarily for cooking, but also infusing oils. This is a great product for a great price - highly recommend! Hope this info is helpful to you!

this is a LOT of rosemary!
I use a lot of rosemary in my cooking. I have this pasta sauce recipe using butternut squash and rosemary that I cook at least once a week as my "go-to, quick and easy, comfort food."I found this fresh, still green, and fragrant. It's been working very well in my recipes. It also arrived very well packaged...not at all crushed or broken up.My only issue is that this is a LOT of rosemary. Yes, I know it said it was 1 lb but I have to admit I'm not the type that can visuallize exactly how much 1 lb of rosemary is. I (wrongly) thought the usual size spice jar was probably 4-6 ounces and there are 16 ounces to a pound so this was about 3-4 jars. Wrong! Spice jars are 2 ounces and this is more like 8-10 jars. Oops, lol.

A more delicate Rosemary
Rosemary Spice Dried Crushed LeavesThis is a large bag so be prepared to share it or cook a lot of chicken. I usually find Rosemary too strong when I’ve had it served with chicken. I find this version more mellow and pleasing. Some may say it’s weak, I think it’s more balanced and delicate. I will enjoy adding this to my chicken recipes. Enjoy using this.
