Peter Pan retelling
This one’s a cute but mysterious Peter Pan retelling. It ended in a cliffhanger and a lot of questions remain unanswered. It piques my interest in why Neverland is like it is and, how Peter Pan will save everything and her. Wens is strong but is only human and gets herself in trouble. I like how it started and how it went. It’s a nice read for the retelling lovers.

Betrayal of the worst kind...
This was my first Bailey Black book and it was a delightful quick read.I am seriously obsessed with hot Neverland retellings and Bailey Black's twist on the classic story is fresh and unique.Wednesday aka Wens feels like the undesirable and unwanted twin. And why shouldn't she? Her twin sister is about to marry her ex. The beginning of this book had me both laughing out loud at Wens' wit and sarcasm and at her awful sister. My notes literally say, "BETRAYAL of the worst kind! I hate her sister!!"Oh, if that were only what the reader thinks is the worst betrayal in this book, they have another thing coming. Not only does the deliciously delectable Peter prove to lose Wens' trust, but the shocking twist and at the end of the story will leave your jaw on the floor. It tickled me pink when Bailey Black refers to SJM's Tamlin as Tampon. I knew in that early moment of this book, that I'd love this author. As in all the Neverland retellings I've read, Peter has a dark past and this version is no different. I loved the different layers of dramatic irony that Bailey employs in this book. It's both thrilling and frustrating to know more than some of the characters. The mystery of this version of Neverland is captivating. I found myself both wanting to experience the constant near twilight, but at the same time haunted by such an existence. This book has many layers and some tasty smexy times that leave the reader wanting more. I very much enjoyed this book and look forward to the rest of the series as well as exploring Bailey Black's other books. If you're a fan of Peter Pan retellings, this book is a must read!

A dark and sinister Peter Pan retelling the end on a cliffhanger? Yes please
love a good Peter Pan retelling. Especially if it's spicy and dark. This book follows Wednesday, a girl who is desperately trying to get over the fact that her ex-boyfriend is now getting married to her sister. Forced to attend her sisters bachelorette party, she runs into Peter. Who is mysterious and damn attractive. Little does she know that she is a reincarnation of Wendy and Peter is there to take her back to Neverland to end the a curse. As Wednesday discovers why she's there and what she is, she runs into numerous new friends, or are they foes? only time will tell because this Book ended on one heck of a cliffhanger. I will be anxiously awaiting the sequel due out early next year.I will give this book a solid 5/5. That's not to say it doesn't have its issues. I feel like there are tons of plot holes that are not tied up but there is a sequel on the way so I'm giving the book the benefit of the doubt that it's only gonna get more in-depth and I will learn more throughout the following books. I'm desperate to get my hands on the new book. This book hit all the marks for me to make it a 5/5 as it sits though. I'm definitely invested in the characters, the plot line is extremely intriguing and I'm desperate to know what happens.

Are you ready for an adventure?
3.5 🌟 🌶🌶The story starts right out the gate with a depressing individual who lacks confidence but radiates gothic vibes. Wednesday has always lived in the shadow of her sister until she stumbles across an ominously attractive man promising her adventure. In the beginning, I got a lot of The Never King vibes, but the book definitely has its own twists. The FMC never gains any confidence/adventure in herself, which I think is kind of a letdown since Wendy screams adventure and positively. The cliffhanger was quite a surprise! I will probably continue the series.
