Definitely worth it in my eyes.
Used this to replace my RV attic roof vent. Being in Texas, heat builds up quickly and AC has a hard time keeping my 40' rig cool. Figured this would help draw out the trapped heat in the attic/roof portion and may help my AC be more efficient.Unfortunately, this is not a direct size replacement for a standard RV attic vent. Had to make the existing hole wider for the fan portion to fit down. And then seal around the edges. We've had a few warm days (mid 80s), and it seems this fan does helps. So far been able to keep the inside cooler than the outside temperature without having to turn on my AC. I expect my AC should be more effective come the summer. ... thinking about maybe relocating the original attic vent to the rear of the RV to help create a better flow. ... I'll just have to remember to cover the solar panels come the winter months lol.

Looks good but not powerful.
Super quiet can't tell it's running but not very powerful. I use it at my barn shed and it does pull heat out of a 6x8ft shed but not enough. I may need to get another to pull out the heat better. It looks nice though from the outside.

No. NO. NO!
First of all, the vent is not I repeat NOT, exactly weather tight. The substantial clear plastic protector over the solar panel is just snapped into place into the stainless steel cover. Secondly, of the two I bought one of them had the fan just laying in the box and not on the motor shaft where it should have been. On both units, the rechargeable batteries had both broken loose from the little bit of silicone sealer/glue they used to stick it to the plastic housing underneath.Mounting was fairly straightforward you need to use a four and three quarter inch hole saw or otherwise cut a 4 and 3/4 in hole through the spot where you are mounting it. Then Mark the three mounting holes and then fasten it to your mounting location. Now, for the operation..... When sunlight strikes squarely on the solar panels and the switches in the on position the fans do spool up and it would be unfair to say that they don't move any air at all. They do move air but not enough to be of value for anything that I can even imagine. And again, I am using two of them. My intent was to use them to remove the hottest air from the top of an enclosed trailer. I mounted some inlet vents down low on the opposite side of the trailer hoping to pull some cross flow air through the trailer. This trailer is 12 ft long by 7 ft wide by 6 and 1/2 ft tall. These fans had zero effect other than now having two four and three quarter inch holes cut through the roof! Just say no! Whatever it is you think you're going to do with these the answer is no!!!

Solar vent
The solar panel was loose I glued it down appears to work when placed in the sun. I'm assuming the seller gets the product in and never looks at it then just sends them out. Will update after have used it for a while

Moves air to keep areas from being stale
Have two of these great little solar vents. One keeps my bilge area from getting gases from building up.Second moves damp air out of my storage area.Works as described. Is quite and built strong.

Very low if any air movement
We have a Lifetime poly shed with a round screened vent on front and back for ventilation. After putting our back up refrigerator in the shed we needed to increase the air flow to keep it cooler. This unit fit into the size of one of the vents by simply cutting back some of the louvers and even allowed the screen to be maintained over the inside of the fan. Unfortunately the sun is seldom at the perfect angle to keep the solar cell of the fan fully engaged and even when it does the fan moves so little air that it does not accomplish much if any air exchange. Since I had already cut the vent hole and installed the fan, I McGivered a spare under cabinet light with a 20W LED bulb by using Gorilla Tape to attach it to the solar panel and plugged it into a timer to run on electric during the hottest 6 hours of the day. Now at least the fan runs at full speed and recharges the battery every day no matter the weather. I should have trusted the negative reviews about the low air flow and bought a powered fan that has a decent CFM air movement. I would not recommend this unit for any air flow need but did not ask for a return since I had already cut the vent to fit it and now have taped up the outside. At least the fan now turns but you still can't actually feel any reasonable air movement. If I ever find an electrical powered small fan to fit that specific space I will replace it. Until then I guess it will work a little bit until the batteries die or the motor quits. I don't think you can access the batteries to change or even tap into a low voltage power charger to run it direct since the voltage of the motor is not indicated. An optional direct low voltage plug in for the fan motor would be a nice option.UpdateSince the actual air flow is so low you can not actually feel any air movement I finally replaced it with a 6 inch electric exhause fan and a thermostat control. If you need any amount of air flow to cool an area this is not what you need.

Keep cool
I bough this fan for my small (10X20) green house. On a sunny day with all the doors and windows open the temp in side would go over 120deg. My temp gauge only goes to 120. After installing this fan I have not seen a temp greater than 110deg. For a little solar power fan that's a big deal. Worth the cost. It took me about a hour to install, not to bad and worth it.

Excellent Value
This seems to be good quality vent for the price. It is sturdy with a nice stainless steel shroud. The solar panel is not secured in anyway, which is why I only gave 4 stars. Some double tape will fix it I think. It also would have been nice to have a gasket.
