Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Deluxe Adult Hat

This is a terrific costume hat, especially for a young boy. I bought it for my son, who is 9, to go with his Indiana Jones costume, and it fit him perfectly. It also fit my 14 year old son, and it fit me, but it was too small for my husband, and I think this hat would likely be too small for most men's heads. Looking at the label inside, it appears to be a size 15 hat. It's basically made of thick felt. The edge around the hat isn't finished (no seam), so it's not a high quality hat, but that's why it's inexpensive. My only complaint is that there was no filler in the box around the hat, so it came out of the box completely smushed. I was able to reshape it, but it still has several little dents around the top that I can't get out; fortunately, my son doesn't mind.

Good for costumes

My friend and I collaborated to buy this in Summer of 2013 for my September wedding. We used it during the garter toss as a hilarious gag for my husband. I got to pick all of the "special" music for everything because it wasn't really his thing so I chose the Indiana Jones Theme Song for the garter toss. My best friend thought it would be funny to do a small skit before hand with a replica hat by handing it to him, telling him he'll need this, and then the DJ played the song.This hat was absolutely perfect for that occasion. My husband still has it today and it's become a big joke for all of us every time we see it! It fit him just fine and looked close to the movie. Everyone knew exactly what it was and got a big laugh out of it!

I cannot believe this hat is an adult size hat. I got this for my son, who is 11, and the hat fit perfecting. He is by no means, tall, thick, or the size of an average male adult. He is actually small for his age, and yet this hat fit him perfectly and comfortablly. My son doesn't really play dress up, however, whenever we go to any kind of event, he wants to "play the part". We are going to a discover the dino event, and he wanted an Indiana Jones hat, so he could look like he was on an adventure. I think this hat is quality made, and could be used for hiking outdoors or any kind of outdoor activity (not just for costume play).

My son is 13, and just starting to establish a separate identity for himself.He has chosen to make wearing a fedora a part of that. I really wasn't sure if he was serious, (ball caps had been his thing, when he wore anything on his head at all!) and this was an inexpensive way to see if it worked for him.(The Indiana Jones tag is almost unnoticeable, making it look more like an authentic hat and not a prop.)He's been wearing it day in and day out since Christmas, in all kinds of weather. (15 days!) It has even survived being slept on by his little sister! (Long car trip; he left it on the carseat between them; she's 7 and had slumped over in the dark, asleep; he'd fallen asleep first!)So I heartily recommend this, whether for a costume prop, or a style option!

It was a really great replica. The only complaint I had was that there was a brand pin on the brim. Indy didn't have a pin with his name on his hat. That is such a small nit pick though. Great hat!

This is actually a really nice Indiana Jones hat; good quality, holds up well, looks nice. I dinged it a star because of the fit. I don't think this would fit most adults. It was a nice fit on my 6-year-old. Granted, he has a big head, but still, I don't think this would pass for most adult men. My son wears a 7-1/4 hat (which fits a little roomy), and this also fits slightly roomy.

My son lost his last hat, real Indiana Jones' style. He got out of the car and was looking over a ledge when the wind picked it up and placed it over the cliff and in a tree. The hat that is in the tree has with stood many outing and rough play with 4 children, the original hat was a kids hat from the same manufacturer. When we got home we needed to replace the hat in the tree with a larger one.This one fits him better as he is a 8 year old boy, it gives him room to grow into it. He is as tough on it as the last and loves it!!!
