R&F Handmade Paints 2-Pound Encaustic Bagged Pellets, Medium (825)

Excellent product, very easy to work with and mixes well with colored waxes. It’s the only brand I use for my encaustic work.

Although it seems pricey to me, it does last awhile. And it's very pure and nearly colorless. Also, the pellets are easy to use because they melt pretty fast. (I have made my own encaustic medium before to save money. It's a time-consuming, messy process and doesn't re-melt as fast because it's one big lump.) R&F Medium is worth the money to me.

Package was broken and beads were everywhere. This is the second time they arrived this way. I purchased the same product from Walmart two months ago for $10 less! Paint is still good quality.

Melts quickly, no residue to be cleared away.

This product is supposed to be discrete pellets that are easy to pour. I have used this product before and was happy with it. Somewhere along the way this package was exposed to too much heat. Instead of pellets, I have a pretty solid two pound block of encaustic medium. If I had known, I could have just ordered medium blocks and saved myself some money. A fused block of pellets is pretty inconvenient.
