Bought this to take on a trip. Haven't gone yet but I love the quality and ALL the pockets! In addition the vegan leather should make it pretty waterproof/resistant for travel. I ordered many different ones and this one stood out because the lining (& zipper) quality is great - not just cheap thin fabric, the strap makes it easy if you need to look for something but want to keep it on your shoulder, or change up to cross body, or if you are using a bigger travel backpack for the plane and want this for when you actually get to your destination as your day backpack/purse. Also like the padded, larger ipad section of the bag. Most are smaller and flimsy. My water bottles fit easily in the deeper side pockets (swell 17oz & Corkicle 20oz Canteen). Overall very happy with this purse/backpack.Update: 02/23/24 I have used this backpack since August 2023 - it has held up beautifully - no torn fabric, survived UK down pours and wiped clean from dirt and still looks new! Love all the pockets and the strap versatility. If you are trying to decide I say go for it!!
