I had to refer to the pictures of the article to be able to put it together cause it was a little confusing and it didn't have any instructions. However, once assembled, it worked just fine. Very easy to play with the buttercream now. Improved business

I never used to obsess about flat tops on my cakes. And super-straight sides. Then I started trying to learn in my old age that my mother was wrong—real people can make layer cakes, not just bakery people. So I started making cakes. They usually came out of the pan intact—my mother's biggest fear. I plopped layers atop each other, sticking them together with fabulous frosting. But the layers slid and the tops were humped. I didn't care. They tasted great and I proved my point. Real people can bake.But then I discovered a sweet perky mom with a cake blog. And I discovered sides should be STRAIGHT! No slippy, slidey lines between layers. And tops must be FLAT! No humps allowed. I watched her with this thing that tortured the frosting into her desired absolutely perfect-shaped cake in all 360 degrees. I bought some of the tools suggested to make my cakes like hers, but I drew the line at that right-angled fright.My last cake was a delicious four-layer hummingbird cake. Tasted fabulous. Looked like it had ribs. I decided it was time for the angle-ironer. I've been looking for several months and finally found one in this baking set. I have most of the other items in the set except the smoother. I found it just in time because I had saved up and frozen a total of ten hideously over-ripe bananas, enough for another hummingbird cake. I was determined this one would NOT have ribs!I made it, stacked it, frosted it, leveled it vertically and horizontally, and served it for my son's birthday on Labor Day. And, doggone it, forgot to take a picture of its perfection! You will have to take my word for it that it was a triumph of straightness, flatness, without a lump, bump, or hump in sight.If this tool can beat into submission the strange cakes I've presented to my family, you can be sure it can tame yours. I highly recommend it.

Overall the products are sturdy and adequate for what is required for projects. It can be a little difficult to clean at times, but better than previous products I have used. It is very good quality. I do appreciate the different options and sizes.
