I was nervous about trying a new toothpaste because when I tried using Sensodyne, my breath in the morning, seem to be worse than when I used crust prohealth. However, my periodontist had recently directed me to floss first, use interdental brushes in between teeth next, then use a metal tongue scraper, brush my teeth, and with this toothpaste, and just a sip of water in the morning, my breath is great. I’m providing the whole routine because I’m surprised that at 50 and taking the best care of my teeth, no one has ever told me about all of these different things to do to keep my gums healthy and plump and teeth healthy. I have struggled with gum recession, which was blamed on clenching at night, so I wear a night guard and possibly brushing too hard and was recently told that I have thin gums. But we are not sure if that is genetic or has to do with brushing too hard.Seems like every one has their own opinion. As far as Dentists go. I was thankful that this periodontist told me that I could go back to using my Oral-B toothbrush if I buy the one for sensitive teeth, which has the softest toothbrush. The interdental brushes, those are to get the plaque in between the teeth that you’re not able to get through the dental floss.I hope this helps someone like me that has been desperate to just keep my real teeth until hopefully I’m 80. I love the taste of this toothpaste and I’m excited about getting away from fluoride.

I’m actually shocked at how good this toothpaste is for my sensitivity. I’ve been a long time sensodyne user, and recently, it seemed like my sensitivity maybe got worse, or the sensodyne doesn’t work as well. I found Boka online, and decided to give it a shot since some reviewers felt this way, and that it really helped. I’m so glad I have this a shot. It’s so much better than all the different sensodyne toothpastes I’ve tried. Also, I was just at the dentist for a cleaning, and he said that my teeth are perfectly healthy, even without the fluoride. I wasn’t really looking so much for a fluoride alternative, but I’m for sure a believer in Nano hydroxyapatite now. And my teeth even look whiter! I also read recently that extended use of stannous fluoride can stain your teeth, so this is another win for Boka. I like that the ingredients are natural and non toxic, the flavor is really nice, and I’ve even gone so far as to go on their website and buy their toothbrush and mouthwash. It’s also interesting to me that after having a cleaning with “traditional” dentist cleaning products, my sensitivity was horrible, almost like the paste they use just set me back to where I was before I started using this. I will definitely purchase again, and recommend this to others.

Shockingly different. This is quite possibly the most gentle, yet effective toothpaste i've ever tried. Most toothpastes leave you with a sharp, lingering taste. an hour later you'd still be scared of what you eat or drink will taste like. This, was over in minutes. Left my mouth tasting clean, without the ick. I've only used it twice since it came in, but there is already a very slight difference in the color of my teeth. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a try. it isn't to expensive to have any regrets, though you seriously wont anyway.

I want to preface by saying I've only used this toothpaste twice. I was very intrigued by the prospect of remineralization suggested by this toothpaste, but both times I have used it, my teeth tingle and throb for around a half hour after. I use a very soft tooth brush and I don't brush hard. I can confidently say I've never had this sensation with any other toothpaste. It's not painful, but it also isn't very comfortable. I'm going to be alternating it with a fluoride toothpaste from here on out, and if it continues to feel like this after using it, I'll probably discontinue use. Will update if I start seeing good results.Update: I've been using this toothpaste for about two weeks now, and the weird throbbing sensation stopped after the 3rd or 4th use. I am starting to notice a decrease in sensitivity, and I think my teeth may be a shade or two lighter. I can't say it's done any noticeable remineralization, but I'm sure things like that take longer than a couple weeks. Over all, I'm happy with it. If you try it, give yourself a week to adjust to it!
