Good product?
I accidentally bought the wrong size of this product so I didn't actually have a chance to use it. It felt cery heave and of good quality though. It also looked great.

As advertised
This is a very well made product, which I was thrilled about as it isn’t cheap. It does a great job of distributing the ground beans before tamping, and I’ve noticed better extraction from my espresso machine. It perfectly fits my 53.5mm portafilter.

I like it but…
I like how aesthetic design. However, the wood part has splinters and it appears that the item may have passed the quality control inspection stage, or I might have received a previously used unit. In either case, I had higher expectations from this brand, and I'm pretty dissatisfied, particularly considering the significant cost of this product.

Love the product color and mechanism of use. It’s easy and leaves a nice even surface for tamping. Highly recommend

Gravity vs Set Depth for Distributor
Auto-leveling via gravity. Actually seems to work. After auto-leveling, I switched over to my scored and set distributor and saw that grounds stayed leveled. This auto-leveling does require being placed onto portafilter and twisting, like you’d with a traditional distributor. So the time saved is just that one time setting of a distributor. The blade itself is a chiseled V blade, efficiently pushes grounds evenly without friction. The actual product is beautifully made with anodized aluminum and stainless steel. The base even has a titanium PVD coating. This wooden top is sustainably-sourced American walnut and really pretty, and even nice to touch.I got the 53.3 mm for my Breville Barista Touch with the 54 mm portafilter. Fits seamlessly. Also have an option for the 58 mm, same pricing.Priced $50 at time of order and review. The gravity option is the additional cost, and other than my personal interest and curiosity, not worth that cost. You do get a beautiful black finish with wood accent.
